"Considering the price point and location, our stay was excellent. Having read previous reviews I was scared of lack of cleanliness. However, it is not very dirty. We found no bed bugs in our beds and our room was well-kept and cleaned before we arrived. Since it is a hostel (and not a resort), we had no housekeeping and had to share bathrooms but we knew this before booking our stay. "What can I say. It’s like living in a Japanese beach house. Totally awesome. The staff is now considered friends. And the residents are great group of people. I was looking for a place to slow down and save some money for my travels and this is the place stayed 3 months and had beach days every day. "small but well designed hostel with excellent location. everything works except….noisy guests there is no enforcement of noise in the bunks, its a typical problem with many non-japanese guests who stay in groups (not solo). they talk loudly (couples or groups taking single bunks) totally oblivious to all the rest of people sleeping. yes, and they use the hair dryer at midnight, and thats not all…"

"Friendly, helpful staff- I believe most of them, or maybe all, can speak English as well as Japanese. A shared common room area with a fridge and cooking facilities.
