"The hotel is OK for a one night stay in order to take the ferry next day. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable enough. Unfortunately it is right next to an oil refinery which polutes the atmosphere. On a very warm night we were unable to leave the window open because of this."

"Our room overlooked a noisy busy main road and there was a railway line behind the hotel. There was no air conditioning in our room. We were told the bar would not open until 8.30. We couldn't book a table in the restaurant because a coach party was booked in but if there was room they would try to fit us in. There were no alternatives within walking distance. The photos of the hotel are very misleading. I wouldn't be surprised if they had been photo-shopped!"

It's got views of the sea from the terrace, the breakfast is really good - scrambled eggs with bacon, sausages, cold cuts, 3 different types of bread for toast, fresh tomato, plenty of pastries, espresso as well as americano coffee. "This was the worst place we have stayed in 7 weeks of travelling. Tiny room. Double bed against the wall. Bedhead freestanding & moves every time you roll over. Tiny bathroom. No room for cases. In house restaurant closed the 3 nights we stayed. Had to travel 10 kms to find an evening meal. Advertises that it’s 25kms from Bilbao, when it was more like 35km. Extremely noisy from any activity in the passage. Cleaning staff rolling their trolley up & down the passage from a very early hour. Best...

"Well this was a cheap but functional stay at an amusing little Pension. There's no breakfast and the toilet is shared. There's a shower unit in the spacious bedroom and the beds are comfortable. The great location was met with a bit of noise on the Saturday night which wasn't ideal.
