A frosted malt, fries and a double hamburger from Kewpee Hamburgers. Of the five remaining Kewpee restaurants, three of them can be found in Lima, OH. Kewpee hamburgers started in 1923 and this iconic location in downtown Lima opened in 1928. A Kewpee location in Kalamazoo, MI, near where Wendy's founder Dave Thomas grew up, is said to have inspired him with their square hamburgers and thick shakes.
