"This property is NOT a hostel but more like a motor inn. My husband and I made our booking online in a hurry since we were driving and had to stay the night somewhere in Tarifa. Unfortunately the usual front desk staff at Hostal El Levante were on holidays at the time but Rocio and Diego, the owners, were so wonderful and made sure everything was set up to make our check in very easy. As soon as the booking was confirmed, they sent us a message to inform us that there wouldn’t be anyone...

"Stayed for one night in this Morrocan style designed hotel. The staff was very friendly, and unlike in many other hotels in the Andalucia, the owner spoke perfect english. There was no space outside the hotel to park our car but there's an underground car park around the corner where you can leave your car for a discounted price. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable. The old town was within a walking distance from the hotel."

"It was close to the train station and as we used it as a base for the Jerez Moto GP it was fine. It’s very basic but clean and we weren’t there except to sleep so it suited our purpose. "

The rooms are set around a central patio with tables chairs and sofas, and filled with tropical plants which give a cool ambience at any time of day. The staff are all lovely (special thanks to Alba who quickly responded to queries before and during our stay). Even the other guests were pleasant and friendly. We only spend one night on our way from Caminito del Rey, so after a long hard day, this place was more than perfect. Will definitely recommend it for a short stay. "
