"Staff were friendly but the service was slow. It was particularly busy as they had two balls on the day we stayed. Excellent service from Danny in the Thai restaurant. Other staff need more training. Great selection at breakfast but a lot of it was only luke warm. Very warm welcome at reception. I actually felt that they wanted me to have a nice stay rather than just saying it.Comfy bed and great to have a bath and separate shower."

"The breakfast was nice , only the pastries was too dry. Cleaning rooms should be more looked into especially floor. Very nice of stuff for upgrading from standard room to premium on Christmas day. Overall lovely hotel , close by the shopping centre and park ."

"This was our first time staying in a Mercure. The location was ideal for us, close to the centre but not too busy and more reasonable price. The lounge and bar downstairs was lovely. Nice Christmas decorations too. Check in was easy and efficient. Room was great, very clean, everything we needed. The layout, tv and bathroom felt more modern and slightly more high end compared to a Premier Inn. We will definitely stay at a Mercure again!"
