"We arrived after booking this “place” for an overnight stay while we were working in the area. The building looked unoccupied with painted out windows. As we had not received any communication from the management we were unsure how to access the building. The front door was unlocked so we explored inside. Pedestrian Level Crossing I didn't know that many of these still existed. And no isolated back-water on a heritage steam railway, this. Every few minutes a GNER train hoots from a mile away, drops its speed to maybe 100 km/h and thunders through. Judging by the amount of dog mess and beer cans the footpath is well trafficked too.
