"This was an amazing place to stay. The couple running the hotel were so welcoming and the food they provide is lovely. The rooms are actually caves and are therefore a bit dark but that was part of the character. The room facilities are quite basic and the bed was uncomfortable. However the one star rating should lead you to lowering your expectations. There is a pool which wasn't heated but hey, it was there and was refreshing on a hot day. The location is fabulous. "Je n'ai jamais pu trouver ce refuge malgré l'itinéraire donné sur le site (ni avec Google Map "voiture " ni "à pied"), rien n'est indiqué et j'ai passé tout mon temps sur la route à le chercher pour, au final, dormir ailleurs. Juste pour leur défense, ne parlant pas très bien espagnol, je ne les ai pas appelé, celà aurait été trop compliqué de me faire comprendre. Donc bien évidemment, déçu."

"We stayed for a two night stay and we had to wait 45 minutes to get the key in a snowstorm. The apartment was functional but that's about it. The toilet seat was broken as was the table leg. It is a good walk up the hill and it only has oil fired plug in heaters and the heating was insufficient for the extreme temperatures in February. These apts are cheap but not that cheerful."

"All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Thank you to Jose for sorting out our ski pass and Victor for kitting us out. Can hire full ski equipment on site, easy to manage and good price. Would recommend trying to get a pass to take the parador up to the hostel, as it's quite a trek from the bus station if you're dragging a suitcase. Room was perfect and excellent value. Clean, warm, , plenty of room for storage and hanging, powerful shower. Wide variety of food for breakfast to get you...

"Most of it was great. Simple accommodation, but very clean room and bathroom. A small problem only: the bedside lamp didn't work. We only noticed late at night, otherwise the owners would have fixed it straight away, I am sure."
