"This cottage was absolutely perfect for my husband and me. It is so convenient - easy walking distance from the beach and the stores. We were able to go Yooperlite hunting until the wee hours of the morning, then make the short walk back to a warm, comfortable bed. We also really enjoyed relaxing on the porch in the evenings after a day of hiking around Sable Falls. We wish we could have stayed longer!"

"Loved the location. Grand Marais is an awesome little haven with a very unique vibe. It’s really special. This house is super close to the main stretch, where you’ll find a handful of bar/restaurants and gas. Good gift shop too. We were able to see the northern lights at Agate Beach—a first for us. The house is super clean, set in a wooded area overlooking Lake Superior. The only downside is the lack of water pressure in the kitchen and shower. Bed and pillows were not very comfortable. "We had a great stay at the Big Red house. It was very clean and welcoming. We traveled with 3 young children and it’s a child friendly house with toys for them to play with and a big yard to run around. "Served its purpose for location, nothing special. Communication before booking and after is nonexistent. "We had a set of 4 friends and went sxs riding. This location was great, plenty of room for everyone, 2 bathrooms were a plus, big kitchen with plenty of seating. Plenty of parking for all vehicles/trailers. We were gone from 9am to almost 8pm daily. we didn’t have time to enjoy the outdoor fire pit or other amenities on property. We hope to return for another visot in the near future. This was a typical UP north VRBO with old home charm for GREAT old town. Host was excellent. "
