Dubai’s top five hotels for travellers this summer have been revealed by Expedia as the city’s hospitality scene buzzes with excitement amid new launches and family-friendly offers.
Searches for stays during July and August 2024 at some of the city’s most popular hotels skyrocketed by an impressive 90% compared to last summer, exclusive data by Expedia reveals. New hotels are quickly emerging as hot favourites among travellers – in fact, The First Collection Waterfront has seen a staggering 260% surge in searches, securing its place as the number one hotel this summer.

From couples seeking a romantic getaway to families on adventures and travellers planning a luxurious escape, Dubai’s thriving hotel scene has something to offer everyone this summer.
Expedia’s data reveals July is the cheapest month to travel domestically in the UAE this summer1, making it the perfect time for families planning a summer adventure in Dubai.
Family-friendly havens with a myriad of activities and amenities to keep everyone entertained are also rising on traveller bucket lists this year. With over 36 restaurants plus free dining and stays for kids, Atlantis the Palm is among this summer’s family favourites in Dubai, noting a 75% increase in searches this summer.
With endless shopping, dining, and leisure options just steps away from Jumeirah Beach, JA Ocean View is also among the popular destinations for family vacations this year, with a staggering 140% increase in searches for summer stays.
Similarly, searches for stays have jumped by 115% at Sofitel Dubai the Palm Resort & Spa, which features attractions like the Amura Kids Club that ensure a perfect stay for families.
Dubai’s hotel hotspots for summer 2024 based on Expedia data
- With its unique design and a plethora of offerings – including its top-rated restaurants to the über-chic guestrooms – travellers can’t get enough of The First Collection Waterfront overlooking the tranquil Dubai Water Canal, with the hotel ranking number one in the summer stays list.
- Meanwhile, the budget-friendly Rove Downtown Dubai is gaining a following for its easy access to Downtown Dubai without compromising on convenience, witnessing a 160% increase compared to summer 2023.
- New properties are also attracting takers, with three of the city’s top five most-searched hotels having been launched in early 2024, Expedia’s exclusive data shows.
- This includes the versatile property FIVE LUXE, which offers a range of options from studios to 5-bedroom homes and is quickly becoming a fan favourite in the city.
- The blend of quality and service with affordability is also making Holiday Inn Dubai Business Bay a popular choice for Dubai’s travellers this summer.
- One&Only One Za’abeel is also emerging as an internationally attractive favourite with a star-studded launch that has added a touch of glamour to Dubai’s hotel scene.
