"Nice hotel "

"This was a modernized older building with a lot of character. On arriving early morning, there happened to be a room opened which was a nice plus and an opportunity for a short nap before venturing out. The room was clean and bright with big windows that could open, large draperies to block out light and welcoming waters, chocolate and a few snacks. The front desk staff were very welcoming. The attached bar/ restaurant was either a la carte or buffet and the food good. There was outdoor seating. The park was wonderful to walk through on our way to various destinations. We happened to arrive on Liberation Day which is a huge holiday. It was very festive. We opted for a room in the rear of the building which was quiet and looked onto a beautiful, quieter part of the park. We enjoyed the walk (20 min) to the Central Station) where several of our tours began. It followed a pedestrian/ bike only street. The walk to Dam Square was a bit longer, but definitely doable. Getting an Uber here was very easy, close and reasonable to either of these areas. The manager, Christina, was on sight and very accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel."

"After 14 trips to Amsterdam collectively between my partner & I, we finally found The Bunk Hotel and we plan to return every single time we go back to Amsterdam. It was cool & quirky, showcasing incedibly talented, local artists. Not to mention, the art behind building a modern hotel within a beautiful, old church that was just incredible in itself. The food's & drinks were delicious and always came out quickly - we are definitely going to pre-book breakfast for everyday we stay next time as it saves a little money. We weren't sure about doing it to start with as we weren't sure if we would like the food but it's honestly amazing and a lot of love goes into their food and customer care. Their interior design is so thoughtful, it would have been nice to have a recycling bin in the hotel room but there was some by the elevators so not far. Finally, onto the lovely team of staff! Every single person who we came into contact with was cool, friendly, caring & hospitable. We really appreciated their level of passion and care. There is currently building work happening opposite the hotel but this wasn't distressful at all and we couldn't hear it at all once in the hotel & is it course no negative reflection on BUNK. We have been back in our home country of England less than 24 hours and already looking forward to our return trip!
