Great host. Very friendly. Rooms adequate. Some of the best views of Matterhorn from a guestlodge Price is according to this. Room would be a regular 3 star room. Would advise the cheese fondue for dinner. Breakfast spread very Swiss and delicious.

The property was quiet and clean and felt very safe. Breakfast each day was wonderful. It was a little bit of a walk to get to the main parts of town but it was still very easy and safe. Our room had an incredible view and we really enjoyed our stay.

This property was very nice the amenities were great. Really enjoyed the spa with the sauna and steam room. The heated bathroom floors were also really nice. Staff were very kind and generous and provided an excellent stay. Highly recommend this place any time of year!

It is definitely a budget-friendly choice for Zermatt solo travellers and wonderful view with a good hot tub and sauna. Breakfast was also quite good. Little bit far from the station and up at the hill.

10 minute walk from the main Zermatt shopping area this small luxury hotel is definitely one to consider when visiting and skiing Zermatt. Breakfast included with appetizing options and great service every morning. Ski equipment storage, spa and hamam where well enjoyed after a ski day in these magnificent alps. Salon with fireplace with all day beverages and snacks made the stay even more enjoyable. We had the family room with our 2 young adults and all where comfortable. Much to enjoy at the Alpenlodge.

The room with king size bed and bunk beds is pretty spacious. It has a L-shape large balcony with tables, chairs and a outdoor couch. The views from window or balcony are priceless (Matterhorn view). The Breakfast buffet has a lot of choices and is very fresh. The hotel staffs are very friendly. It is walkable from the train station to the hotel with a small luggage.

The Alpenlodge is truly special! It is a family run boutique hotel with attentive, friendly staff, exceptional accommodations and a breakfast that was superb. This was our first trip to Switzerland so we had many questions and every person we encountered at Alpenlodge (before and during our trip) was very patient and helpful. They even helped coordinate dessert for our son who turned 13 during our stay and decorated our room with balloons too. The location was very quiet, and while it was a bit further from town, it was still very walkable. If it’s cold or snowy, the taxis are easy to catch and the hotel provided discount vouchers which was a very nice perk! We are truly grateful for the hospitality and care we received from Alpenlodge. Highly recommend!

We recently enjoyed a fantastic weekend getaway at Alpenlodge in Zermatt, thanks to some last-minute luck! This charming hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Situated on a sunny hillside, Alpenlodge offered stunning Matterhorn views from our room's balcony. The best part? We woke up to breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over the iconic peak! The village center and train station were within easy walking distance, making exploration effortless. The staff at Alpenlodge were exceptional. Friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They provided insider tips and recommendations on must-do activities in the area, making our trip even more enjoyable. The breakfast spread was delightful, offering a variety of fresh and delicious options to fuel our adventures. We can't wait to return for another stay in the future!

The lodge staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. This included doing laundry for us while we were out for the day. The charge was 10 euros for wash, dry, and fold. This was very much worth it as we were able to spend our time doing what we wanted to do without worrying about laundry. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We had an excellent view of the Matterhorn both evenings and mornings from our room. Having bunk beds for the kids was a bonus versus having one bed for them to share. The breakfast buffet had a variety of options to choose from, and they will also prepare eggs for you. Definitely would recommend, and make sure you book a room with a view of the Matterhorn. If you book a room for more than one night they will arrange transportation from the train depot to the lodge for you.
