"I wouldn’t consider this area safe and would not recommend as a honeymoon destination. It was very noisy at night time, constant horning etc. There were insects everywhere, including indoors, lizards, ants, worms etc. Mary was very kind and ensured we had breakfast however, it wasn’t the most pleasant experience due to the location being very noisy and the cleanliness. "We were a bit sceptical about the resort at first due to previous reviews. However it was a great 10 day stay for us. The food was lovely, couldn’t get enough of the prawns. The room with the sea view was amazing. The staff were great, thank you Maria you made our stay very comfortable. If you need some where close to the airport and 5min away from Stone town then I recommend Zanzibar beach resort. "

The coffee and beds were some of the best I've had in Africa. Daniela and I had a great conversations and she arranged a prison island tour for us.
