Beautiful Inn in Granville with a storied history. Easy walking distance to restaurants and Denison. Unfortunately, during our one night stay on a 90 degree day the air conditioning failed and since we checked in later in the evening, it was too late to speak with the front desk after arriving back from dinner. No fan, no way to open windows, and we didn’t want to sleep on the street level with the door open. We later learned a pipe broke and was forcing steam into the room. It was 80 degrees according to the thermostat! Luckily we showered quite early, and we were lucky we did, because the water was promptly shut off - without notice. The broken pipe caused a problem in the basement, so shutting the water off was the only option. The response from the front desk was, “old house problems.” Would’ve been nice to receive some sort of concession, but the only option was to head out.
