The Neighborhood:
The property is situated in the area of Kakovatos, just 400m from the beach and 4km from the town of Zacharo.
On the ground floor of the building of the property you will find a family-owned restaurant/cafe where you can enjoy your meals of the day, from breakfast to dinner, specializing in "mezes", which you can enjoy with a glass of "ouzo". In Kakovatos, you will also find many other culinary options, for every taste bud. Just 100m from the property there is a mini market for your daily needs.
Do not miss exploring the area and its many other beaches: Zaharo (6km) has the longest coastal line in Greece. Have a magnificent meal in one of the traditional fish taverns gazing the sunset. Relax at the beautiful cafes and enjoy unforgettable nights at the bars and clubs of the area. Others include : Taxiarches (6km), Elaias encircled by pine trees (12km), Kaiafas (11km) and if you feel like venturing out Kourouta (58km). You may also visit by boat the island of Proti (56km). This little island was an ancient pirate hideaway with ancient scriptures on the rocks surviving until this day. The local climate also makes the nearby beaches ideal for surf lovers.

Kaiafas Lake (11km), Neda river waterfalls(18km), Ancient Olimpia (33km) and the nearby Foloi plateau, one of the biggest oak tree forests, home to the Centaurs, the Dryades and the forest Nymphs, Temple of Apollo Epicurius (51km), Ancient Messene (56km), Gialova Lake (73km, Natura 2000 protected area) and the nearby worldwide known Voidokilia beach, the Castle of Pylos (78km).

Getting Around:
You can reach the property either by car, or you can take the "KTEL" bus to Zacharo and then a taxi to Kakovatos!
The property is a one hour drive from the Kalamata International airport and 1 and a half hour from the Araxos airport!
