"Our 9 day stay at Hotel Estrella De Belem was wonderful. The restored building was an amazing mix of old (walls) and new (bathroom). The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The reservation through Expedia was problem free and allowed us to see room availability and the reservation was without issue. The hotel site has pictures that are as pretty as the actual hotel."

"Homsty was a unique little hotel and the owners were extremely nice and helpful. My only gripe is that the room was listed as sleeping four. I was traveling with a friend and we weren't planning to share the one double sized bed, but there was no other reasonable sleeping accomodation--the sofa was a bit short and there was no bedding for it. "

"The hotel and rooms are very comfortable, newly renovated. New appliances but not the best quality, flimsy plastic coffee maker, good microwave.Plumbling fixtures in the sink and bathroom are also new but not installed properly, the are loose. Not the best finishing quality. Overall is a good hotel, modern with colonial details, nice big roof terrace and inner courtyard to relax. Hotel located close to catedral, shoping areas and restaurants. Very helpful and attentive staff."
