CHARMING FARMHOUSE IN SOUTH FRANCE YVIERS (CHALAIS)

This one-storey stone house with tiled roof and wooden shutters, is over 300 years old and is located in the heart of a quiet and friendly hamlet surrounded with fields. It has a front and a back garden with solid outdoor table.
The recently renovated and fully equiped kitchen, with its thick, dark wooden ceiling, has a lot of caracter.It opens up through a large french door to the back garden.
The large living room has a comfortable leather sofa facing an old open fireplace ( wood is provided with no extra charge), and a big oak farm table seating 10.
It opens up to the 2 spacious bedrooms : bedroom n°1 has 1 double bed and bedroom n°2 has one double bed + 2 single beds.
The house offers a total getaway into the beautifull rolling countryside of the Southern Charente, near the Dordogne border.
Two miles away is Chalais, a busy but small market town with all necessary amenities: supermarket, restaurants, bars, banks, a picturesque outdoor pool, a train station, and a vibrant street market every Monday.

La maison est tres agréable (fraîche en temps de canicule !) Et le jardin réserve des suprises avec ses arbres fruitiers ! Bien situé pour se baigner avec les excellents conseils de la propriétaire Brigitte. Claudia a été adorable. Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour !

un lieu très agréable, calme, reposant de bonne superficie et un très grand jardin la possibilité de garer son véhicule a l'intérieur est appréciable. nous avons passez une très bonne semaine avec une météo très favorable. le village a 4 kms est mignon et complet au niveau des commerce et station . très satisfait , nous recommandons au amoureux du calme et de la campagne. l

Excellentes vacances en Charente
Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans cette jolie région. Il y a beaucoup d'activités à faire et de sites intéressants à découvrir. Si on a juste envie de se reposer et de profiter du calme du quartier, la maison est idéale. Elle est spacieuse, agréable et très bien équipée. Le jardin est grand, fleuri et bien entretenu. Le matin pour le petit déjeuner ou en soirée pour un BBQ, on s'y sent bien. L'accueil a été parfait et souriant. C'est très certainement une adresse que je conserverai.

Agreable sejour
Belle maison avec un joli terrain. Au vu temps qu'il a fait ce mois d'aout, tout etait bien vert autour de nous! Notre sejour a ete tres agreable et reposant. Seul bemol la maison etait un peu humide a notre gout. Mais cela doit etre plus appreciable par temps plus chaud.

"Un seul regret: Devoir partir! Malgré l''absence de soleil, ce fut une semaine de repos et de détente dans un cadre on ne peut plus calme! Une maison merveilleuse et une région magnifique.Nous avons vraiment apprécié la possibilité d''utiliser la cheminée.Gite pas si simple à trouver car totalement en dehors d''Yviers..., c''est aussi cela qui fait son charme! Propriétaire fort sympathique que nous avons eu le plaisir de rencontrer au moment du départ. Gite à conseiller, sans aucun doute!"
