"I really adored this place, and it was very conveniently located for day trips into Ginzan Onsen. The room was clean and affordable and in exchange for environmentally clean services we were given free beer or chuhai and breakfast vouchers. The hotel also has a nice public bath which worked wonders after a day walking in the cold. And honestly the chains sheep mascot was really cute; this place was just very charming for a place so far out in Japan. I will stay here the next chance I get."

However, the website was hard for me to use and it was difficult to get anyone on the phone who speaks English. This made booking a room difficult, as well a working out some details of my stay. "I had a really comfortable stay at Route-Inn. The room is nice and bed comfy. The breakfast buffet was superb and there are lots of options for affordable dining close by. It is a bit of a walk to get to the train station and some bus stops but I was able to get everywhere I needed just fine. "
