Beautiful Log house with plenty of western charm & touch of modern

Beautiful Log house 2 bedroom 2 bath 1200sf full kitchen breakfast bar, dinning room, living room, office with hide-a-bed
Small bedroom with twin trundle bed . Upstair full suite with balcony setting area and mountain views, walk-in closet, full bath with walk in rain shower , sitting area with TV and cozy reading nook. A/c and electric heating plus a wood stove . Plenty of outdoor space with 3 acres plus corral area and fence 2 acres so bring your horses . BBQ, fire ring, horse shoe ,basketball, outdoor checker s, hammock ,picnic tables and we have bicycles that you can use! Plus there is always special treats waiting for you when you arrive! Welcome to the log house ! We know you won't want to leave!

Just remember Young is a small town. The two major routes into town will require travel on maintained gravel forest roads. Suitable for any car (depending on weather conditions) but you do have dirt and gravel . From Payson: Hwy 260 east, past Woods Canyon Lake to the Young Road (Forest Road 512). Then south about 25 miles to Young. About 13.5 miles of this will be a gravel road, the rest paved.

The route up from Globe by way of I'm Roosevelt Lake is about the same but maybe a little more narrow road and more curves with blind spots but WOW what a view! Highway 188 north from Globe, then turn on Highway 288 before reaching the lake. Highway 288 will take you right into Young. The route up from Globe also requires travel on about the same amount of gravel road as the route from Payson.

Nice Cabin
The cabin was clean and spacious. We loved the large wood countertop and the nice view of the nearby mountains. The main bedroom is upstairs and there is a little walkout patio near the bed. The town is very quiet and although it rained a bit we were able to explore the area.

Beautiful log cabin, Hosts are top notch!
We were looking for a base camp for a Haigler Creek fishing weekend and We are so glad we found Della’s cabin! The check in process and communication was flawless. Had no issues whatsoever. The cabin was shiny and clean and very cozy. Fully stocked kitchen. Beautiful outdoor patio area with a dining set and bbq we took full advantage of. Great for evening family time. There is some amazing trout fishing just 10 miles away. We had a great time and would highly recommend booking! On a side note- we had left some pricey earbuds behind and Della was kind enough to go out of her way to mail them to us:) definitely went above and beyond! Thanks!

Adorable Cabin
Such a sweet cabin with everything you need to relax and enjoy yourself. The cabin was warm when we arrived and well lit to be able to find it in the dark. There was a sweet welcome basket upon arrival as well. Would love to stay again if ever in the area.

Professionally done!
We own a cottage on lake Ontario and grew up having stays there. You never pack for all the things you need. The hosts have everything covered down to the smallest detail. Beautiful cabin, great area to relax and again, they have thought of the smallest detail to make the stay very enjoyable. The only drawback is also one of the reasons for going. Cell service is horrible and that made us all put down the phones and talk. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here. The peace and quiet and everyone waves and is happy to chat with you. It is worth the drive from Payson! And even more so from Phoenix!! Brian and Bella M

Excellent Log Cabin Getaway!
We had a wonderful experience at this log cabin! So many comfortable amenities and goodies provided by Della to ensure we had a fun stay! We explored the local vineyard, hiked around the Mogollon Rim, rented a boat at Woods Canyon lake, found fun finds at the Payson farmer's market, enjoyed grilling and cooking in the kitchen that had everything we needed and streamed movies at night in the comfortable family room. We loved it and will tell everyone we know to book this cabin from Della and Al.

Beautiful Stay
The cabin is beautiful and it had everything you need. We were met with a treat basket and fresh eggs in the fridge. The cabin is immaculate and clean. The kitchen has everything you need. One of my favs was the Cherry Chocolate Coffee! The bathrooms had toiletries in case you forgot anything. The main bedroom upstairs BEAUTIFUL and comfortable bedding. The best part is laying in bed you can see the amazing view outside. Loved all the special touches throughout the cabin. No complaints it was a wonderful stay.

Beautiful Stay
From start to finish, my family enjoyed our stay at Poverty Gulch. It was quaint and the hospitality Della showed us was nothing less than spectacular. From the fresh homemade juice to the eggs to the welcome basket, this was one of the best vacations we have experienced in a long time! I cant wait to stay here again!!! Thanks Della!!!
