Tranquil
We had to evacuate from Florida because of hurricane Milton. We had to find a place that would allow a dog. This place was so beautiful on Lake Chatuge. The owners were so nice and allowed us to check in a little early. We were tired and stressed but felt so relaxed once we checked in to the condo.

Great stay on Lake Chatuge
The property was great and as advertised with lots of space. It was conveniently located near several restaurants and a marina with access to walking paths and the lake. Our family and our pups loved sitting out by the lake and enjoying the cool mountain breezes every evening. We would definitely come back again.

Beautiful Lake Chatuge
Pros:Nice location, lake view/Mountain View right in front of the condo, spacious condo, convenient parking. Comfortable beds. Roku TV in living room. Kitchen has all necessary equipment for preparing meals. Close to restaurants, marina, shops. Cons: pool is across the road and up the hill. No hot tub. The Ridges Resort is next door but you have to be their guest to use their pool and tennis court. No beach access to the lake from the condo but the public beach is close by. No TV in the bedrooms.

We love Lake Chatuge !
This property is beautiful and has so much to offer. You can walk over to boat rentals walk over to great restaurants and just simply enjoy a fire right on the lake.

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The property was very comfortable and as nice as in the photos. Lake Chatuge was just outside the front door and surrounding mountains were beautiful to see.

The brush along the lake has become overgrown and blocks some of the view. Some of the pictures are from the resort next door which is a different property. The kitchen could be better stocked. Fantastic
I stayed at two other rental properties before this one. What a relief when I arrived here! Ana was very helpful and communicative. Everything was clean, new and upscale. And its in the Ridges resort so there is a great environment, a wonderful place to walk, safe and the all the amenities of the resort. The large tub was awesome. I slept very well. I can think of nothing negative to say about this property - and that is a first for me! Thank you for a nice stay.

Perfect Spot for enjoying Lake Chatuge!
Our family had the BEST stay at the villa for our first time ever exploring Lake Chatuge and the Young Harris / Hiawassee area. The villa was very clean and well maintained. The 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were all of good size and as described in the listing. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and I appreciated the laundry room after a day out on the lake for washing towels and swimsuits. AnaLuisa was very helpful to welcome us upon our arrival and for questions throughout our stay. The location of the villa could not be beat. We were within walking distance to the Ridges Freedom Boat Club / Marina for our boat rental and also the Marina Station restaurant. We loved walking down to the dock and gazebo in the evenings and watching the sunset from the Adirondack chairs. We can't wait to return!

Make sure you look at all the photos.
Though the location is very nice, make sure you look through all the photos of the property. It is not a villa it is an apartment and you have people above you and to your side. The people upstairs were very noisy and though you do have access to a fire pit and a Jacuzzi you share them with a hotel. The photos to us made it seem like we were going to have more privacy. That is not the case. The property management was extremely helpful but there was a hot water heater leak and they only have One key and we had it. We were out enjoying the sights and we had to come back to give the key or they were going to turn the water off to the apartment. So I would put the key back in the lock box every time you leave just in case something like this happens. The location was extremely beautiful but downsides will make us find other properties in the future.

The community facilities were well maintained. We enjoyed the view, the walkways, the chairs by the lake, and Splash Island was a blast. We played some Bocce Ball on the lush grounds with beautiful lake and mountain views! The unit was very spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and good sized rooms and bathrooms. Everything looked accurate as depicted in the pictures. The Sundance Grill was very good for breakfast (closed Wed's). There's some great shopping along Route 76 from Hiawassee to Young Harris. We loved its location to other areas as well. We drove into Blairsville for a day and enjoyed the shopping and dinner at the Aviator Cafe. We drove into Helen GA for shopping and fun times at Nacoochee Adventures. The Boundary Waters marina has some wonderful staff for boat and jet ski rentals! The view was spectacular everywhere! Bell Mountain is worth the tough drive up to the top - beware it's tough on the brakes going down. Ana was very helpful with our reservations and answering our questions. We Highly recommend staying here. Thanks for a great family vacation at Lake Chatuge.

Beautiful Setting, inadequate information
The setting of this “cabin”/ condo was lovely- right on the banks of Lake Chatuge. The directions to get there were inaccurate. Disregard the recommendation to follow written directions, not GPS. AnnaLuisa was a very sweet and pleasant agent to deal with, but somewhat patronizing. She talked to us like we were mentally impaired when asking for clarification of written directions and addressing our concerns regarding the unit. When we arrived the toilets were mildewed and unclean. There were sanitary paper strips across them like they had been cleaned, but it may have been several weeks since this had been done and they were so longer acceptable. Also jacuzzi tub in master bath was not clean. Had pink mold in the bottom. We called to have housekeeping clean, but, was told that housekeeper did not come into the bathroom since we were not in the unit when she arrived.We never used the tub. The faucet in the kitchen dripped. When the agent was informed she suggested we just push down on it to get it to stop dripping. There were very limited supplies in the facility. A list of items to bring would have been helpful. Some of the directions for disposing of garbage were inaccurate. There were no outside dumpsters or large garbage cans. This unit had no direct water access. In Order to get in the lake you needed to pay a fee to a marina within driving distance. No pool access. Very disappointing. Unit needs upgrading.

The property was lovely and in a great location on the lake. The owner was welcoming. However, the back bedroom queen bed did not fit correctly on the frame and we had to rig it to be able to sleep well. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay at tges property.

Wheelchair/Accessibility Notes
CLEAN, LARGE, waterfront access property adjacent to the Ridges Resort. Guests of the Watercrest condos have use of resort pool + condo pool. Unit faces the water and is mere steps from the firepit, Marina, Splash Water /Beach. There is an *excellent* (!) waterfront restaurant - The Oaks Lakeside Kitchen but check when open..With Covid, breakfast is the only offering until future notice. Restaurants are very close by. The unit is a split bedroom plan with 3 BRS/2 BAS - primary BR has water views, huge bath/closet. 2 Queens, 2 twins, room for air mattress or fold out, sofa/loveseat. Property well suited for gatherings of groups to prepare for a wedding/team events ie: to serve a meal for various parties staying onsite or nearby. Good: Excellent location, restaurant onsite, immediate water access, 4 mins to the GA National Fairgrounds, flowing floor plan, well equipped kitchen, large baths. loads of towels/linens, washer and dryer (3 laundry pods/no bleach). Housekeeping items. FYI: AC needed minor attention, manager very responsive to all inquiries. Basics: 2 garbage bags, dispensers of liquid soap @sinks. No shampoo/bar soap supplied. Roll of paper towels. Bring extras or supplies if needed. Television options are plentiful; used free Roku/HULU - Netflix is there if you use your subscription access. Volume control is on small remote on the rt side; other remotes appear not to work (even though I changed batteries in all). System and electronics do work to view the television. Operator error is assumed :) Wheelchair accessibility .... there is NO marked parking space. All spaces are used by the residents and one should allow room for wheelchair users, but people park on the pad. There is generally a 1 ft strip to exit the vehicle to maneuver a chair to push over the lawn. The next option is to put the chair on the flagstone walkway which is missing some stones (and washes out in a strong rainstorm as we experienced) but the person would need to take a few steps or enter through the resort to fully access walkway to unit. If electric chair, using van, needing help assistance will need transition pad to get over the doorway. Two ramps are cemented there w/slight slope and 30% +/- grade, caution is encouraged. Shower holds travel/ shower chair but not zero entry, etc. All hardwood/tile floors in main areas/carpet in BRs. Manager was great. She will send confirmation docs at booking - MANUALLY SIGN, SEND DL ASAP for codes/directions!

Nice family getaway
Location is excellent! Right next door to an inflatable water park the kids enjoyed. My husband loved being able to fish from the pier. Coffee on the front porch with a beautiful view started my days, and a soak in the huge jetted tub ended them. Helen is only about 20 mins away. The condo is beautiful too! We had a blast and will be back for sure.

The faucets were tempermental, as was the toilet flushing. Both should be looked at. There were salt and pepper shakers but no salt or pepper. Also no coffee filters. These were minor inconvenience to an otherwise good stay.
