Wawona Glade

This family home, open all year round, is located in a quiet, secluded area, nestled in the forest. It has 3 bedrooms, with a king size bed in the master bedroom, a queen-size bed in the second bedroom with it's own television, and two twin beds in the third bedroom with it's own television as well. Also available is a queen-size, inflatable bed with metal frame. The children will love playing in the kids cottage, perfect size for your little ones.


The Wawona golf course is a mile away from the house, are the Wawona Hotel, the hotel's tennis court (available to non-hotel guests), the riding stables, the Pioneer History Museum, Stagecoach Rides and the Wawona Store and Gift Shop.
This fully equipped cabin has a 51 inch HDTV, with 3-D, surround sound, DVD/CD player with DVD's and a iPod dock. There is also a pool table/ping pong table, badminton equipment, a large deck with patio furniture, gas grill, and gas fireplace ready to use. The dining room table seats 8. Unlimited, free phone calls to U.S., and free, unlimited wireless internet as well.

Everything was provided. We loved the location and could not have asked for more. A beautiful setting to relax in after a day of hiking. I highly recommend this place to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation.

Spacious and Superbly Located
The floor plan of this house was a dream - two bedroom wings, ideal for parents vacationing with adult children. The entertainment areas and kitchen were spacious and very comfortable. And the bathrooms were commodious which is a real treat when traveling. The house was well appointed and well stocked with everyday needs. And of course Yosemite is outside the door - a few miles to the sequoia and a lovely longer drive to other areas of the park. One caution: there is no air conditioning so it can get warm.

Great house near Giant Sequoia's
This is a great house with everything that you need. Our only issue was the check in process - we never received our check in information however the cleaning person was still there when we arrived and helped with everything. Otherwise this is a wonderful home, private, with many decks and a playground and playhouse for kids. Plenty of space for my family of 6. Lot's of movies to choose from for down time. Close to one of the only stores in Yosemite, close to the river for swimming on a hot day, not too far from Yosemite valley for all the big sites and close to Mariposa grove with the Sequoia's. We really enjoyed our stay and this house!

Very clean house, but quite dated. Location was nice and house was cleaned thoroughly upon arrival. There were not enough towels for our group- 5 towels for 7 people- not sure why. Also, there was no shampoo In bathrooms and the most unpleasant surprise was when we returned from a day of sightseeing to find a note taped on the dishwasher that it was broken- we left in the morning with a full dishwasher and came back the same way- with it full of dirty dishes. Overall, a decent house, but fell short of having the necessities provided.

Amazing
Had a wonderful time the house was nice, the grounds were amazing and close enough to everything, but away from the crowds. Some things to keep in mind There is a drop off right behind the kids playhouse in the backyard but not really an issue for our 5 year old. There are trails behind the house and Yosemite is less than an hour away. The beds are a bit hard and the refrigerator is loud. You can get groceries at the 2 stores in town, but they are pricy. Tons of fun!

Beautiful house, will stay again
The house was very clean, the location was perfect. It had a nice river in the back of the house, and perfect hills for sliding down the hill. The house was spacious.It was the perfect winter vacation! Will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend it .

Beautiful home in a spectacular location
We held a sibling reunion in this fantastic home. The location is just outside Mariposa Grove inside Yosemite National Park. The home was very clean and very modern with plenty of room for all. The deck was fantastic with a gorgeous view of Mt. Raymond. The property was lovely and we spent time each day walking to see its beauty. Overall a perfect location and the owners were great.

Wawona Glade is a Wow Accomodation
Just returned from a five night stay at Wawona Glade. Our family group included three generations, the youngest almost three years old. Wawona Glade was an outstanding choice for our Yosemite/Wawona vacation accommodations. The house is beautiful, with a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, WiFi, extremely comfortable beds, and two full baths. We loved best the huge deck and view of Mt. Raymond. Nothing better than grilling on the deck in the evening and then having marshmallows over the firepit in the back yard area. Toddler enjoyed the swingset while the adults took a turn in the hammock.While there we hiked, visited the Mariposa Grove, and spent time in the Yosemite Valley. Two of us took one of the Ansel Adams photography workshops. We even made it over to Bodie - east of the park traveling via the Tioga Pass.After each day of outdoor activity we enjoyed returning to Wawona Glade to relax and enjoy the peaceful surrounding...a perfect setting. Other Pros: Check in was quick and owners provided information about directions to house, where to get groceries, etc. Answer email inquiry promptly.

Perfect vacation house
If you are staying in Yosemite, this house is perfect. We traveled with our son and daughter-in-law and our 2 year old grandson. To our delight, the house is baby-proof as far as a safe deck, locks on the gates on the stairs, a play house, ad swing set... A baby bed is available from the redwoods for a nominal fee which worked out great. The house is exactly as described only better once you arrive. Wonderful view of the mountains, quiet, space to walk in the yard, and an easy drive to park attractions. The house was clean and spacious. We used the Weber grill every night and it was awesome. We hated to leave! The owners are very helpful and easy to work with during the rental process. It's a little pricey for a vacation rental but when you evaluate the other homes around, it's well worth the cost. I'd recommend this home to everyone! I'll go back if we had that opportunity.

Loved it!
We loved the location with ready access to shuttle buses, hiking, delicious dining (Wawona Hotel) and the other park locations. The home was spotlessly clean and had wonderful amenities (Wifi, 3-D TV,fire pit, beautiful deck with awnings for a hot day and bedroom fans.) The beds were all very comfortable after long days of sight seeing and hiking. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again or recommend it to friends and family.

Perfect Yosemite Home
This home is big and beautiful. Four of us stayed quite comfortably here for 4 nights. The kitchen has everything you need. Enjoyed cooking on the gas grill and staring at the stars in the evening. Very quiet and peaceful location. Seeing deer by the cabin was a nice treat. Highly recommend this home if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful Blend!
When the time came for a reunion with friends we were looking for the perfect place to accommodate everyone’s needs and desires (not always an easy task for six adults). We found it. A beautiful designer home in the midst of the Yosemite Park wilderness. This location really is an amazing blend of top of the line accommodations, including state of the art audio and video, big fully equipped kitchen, lovely interior décor, and a huge tempting deck, with views of mountains and forest, and the soothing sounds of a nearby creek; several times we shared a meal out there to enjoy the aroma of fresh air and bear clover. One evening we all joined around a campfire in the property’s backyard fire pit to laugh and enjoy the night. During the day there were a ton of things to do. A nearby swimming hole was enjoyed by all of us. One day the group split up, and some went to play golf at the nearby Wawona course, while others of us decided to climb to the top of Mount Raymond, as we were curious about the peak we were looking at from the deck. The sweeping view from up there is breathtaking. On the way up we parked at the Mariposa Grove and big trees, about a 20 minute drive from the house. The owners had very thoughtfully even included a library, and I ended up finding and reading a book that I really enjoyed; one of life’s little pleasures. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, and where your hardest decision will be whether to get out and enjoy the park or stay in and enjoy the house and grounds, this may very well be the place for you.

The home has all the modern comforts yet situated in a beautiful glade of pines. Whether your vacation goal is to "veg-out" or tackle Yosemite you may do so from this base of operations. The kitchen is fully outfitted except a shop for paper towels to coffee will be necessary, which you may do on your way to the Park or at the local well-stocked but higher priced general store. The media system is very advanced with DVD player, 3d TV, and smart TV. You may even make copies of classic vinyl compliments of the owners' CD maker. Roomy enough to sleep 8 or if you've got a snorer in your party like we do, 7. The inflatable bed is easy to operate and very comfortable for an inflatable. The wrap-around deck has automatic shades allowing you to bring as much or as little of the glorious setting inside. The one hour drive to the Valley is a bit long.

Fantastic place to stay for our family of 5's first trip to Yosemite!
We were thrilled to find this house listing online, as the website description looked great and exactly what we were looking for for our family of 5's first trip to Yosemite. In short, the house exceeded our expectations. We arrived late afternoon (after following the owners' great advice to stop and buy groceries in Oakhurst) and instead of just waiting until the next morning to get out and explore, our 3 teenagers found the creek in the back yard, and then proceeded to hike and explore the woods just behind the house for a good hour-and-a-half. We then drove a few short minutes thru "town" to the base of the trail that led up to a fun waterfall - all before dinnertime. As comfortable and enticing the house was, we spent each of our next full 3 days heading in to Yosemite Village and/or Glacier point. We ran into no traffic and enjoyed the 50-60 minute drive with it's beautiful views. We had originally planned to go out to dinner at least half of our four nights, but with the home's full kitchen and fire pit, we all opted to head home, shower, and enjoy food (and smokes) cooked over the fire. And finally, we loved the peaceful and secluded location of the home, which was tucked at the very far end of the road. Clearly the wildlife like it as well, as we had a deer wander up to "visit" - coming within feet of our kids out by the fire pit.
