About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Stay Inside Yosemite National Park! No separate park reservation required.

IMPORTANT: We do not accept third party bookings. The person whose name is on the reservation must be staying at the property.

We no longer accept dogs, no exceptions.

$375 per night for 2 - 6 guests, plus 13.5% county tax, $120 housekeeping fee and VRBO's fee.

This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home sleeps up to six guests maximum. We cannot accomodate more than 6 guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking and dining needs, including a dishwasher. The living room has a flat screen satellite TV with local and national channels, a DVD player, and WiFi. The private deck has deck furniture, and a gas BBQ for grilling your favorite meals and eating outside!

Wawona is inside Yosemite National Park, near the south entrance to the park and Mariposa Grove. Enjoy huge swimming holes in the South Fork of the Merced River (walking distance from the house!), hiking to Chilnualna Falls, the historic Wawona Hotel the Wawona Golf Course, Wawona Stables, Swinging Bridge and much more!

Wawona is an hour drive to Yosemite Valley attractions and Glacier Point.

Minimum age of primary renter: 25.

If our cabin and Yosemite are accessible, we do not cancel, modify, or refund reservations based on smoke, which is a very common occurrence in Yosemite each summer. This policy is consistent with all vacation rentals in Yosemite West.

Please note that our house has stairs which may be difficult for elderly folks and small children. We have a vacation home in Yosemite West, the Hummingbird Pines House (VRBO 470093) is more suited to elderly guests as it has only 2 steps into the house and bedrooms on the ground floor.

Minimum stay of 2 nights.

There are two bedrooms, each with one queen size bed. A convertible sofa-bed in the living room sleeps 1 to 2 more guests. Note: we cannot accommodate more than 6 guests at a time.

This house is equipped with a full kitchen and a large dining table. There is a bbq and dining furniture on the deck, which is a wonderful place to enjoy dinner and watch the sunset.

The Hummingbird Pika House has air conditioning, as well as individual room fans.

Nice quiet spot!! Perfect for our visit. We weren’t sure what to do when we left with the keys but we locked everything up and put them back in the lock box. We had a great visit!! I may have left a pair of glasses there. They would be on one if the kitchen benches if they are there. Let me know if anyone finds them and maybe they could be sent to me! Thank you!! Mary

Great Location
The house was amazing. Clean, well stocked. Only downfall was all the stairs. My 84 year old mom had a problem navigating step in and out and to the bathroom.

This is a lovely place to stay for a quiet visit to Yosemite. A drive to the valley but worth it as we could escape the crowds and really get away from it all. Good facilities. Handy local shop and delightful dark skies. Highly recommend for a family.

Great location.
We were so happy to be in the park and not have to worry about the entrance lines daily. Did the hike to the waterfall close to the house. The meadow hike was very relaxing. Even played a round of golf.

Yosemite Cabin
This place is even nicer than what the pictures show. Fresh wildflowers were placed around the house for an added beautiful touch. Everything we could possibly need for our comfort was available to us. Close proximity to many local attractions. We loved this place.

Wonderful Cabin and host
This cabin is outstanding and in a wonderful location within Yosemite. We are a family of 5, with 3 grown up kids. The cabin was very well equipped and much bigger than it appears online. It has a fabulous wrap around deck that is wonderful for star gazing. VEry big spacious living room and attached kitchen. BAthrooms were fully stocked. The host was wonderful and replied to our email questions within a few hours. I cannot recommend this highly enough, just spectacular.

House was comfortable. Cleaning crew did not do best job. Good location. Walking distance to convenience store and less than 2 miles to gas station. Lot of front steps, remember if you have large heavy suitcase. Hosts are very nice to deal with and respond to questions or concerns quickly. Would recommend this property over some others in area.

Perfect Location
What a wonderful place to stay while visiting Yosemite! I HIGHLY recommend staying inside the park to avoid the crazy long entry lines each day. This place was perfect. And there are plenty of fun things to do nearby: Chilnualna Falls, the swinging bridge, Wawona History Center and more.

Google Maps worked well for us. The place was very clean. Check-in was pretty easy. Wonderful neighborhood. There is a small grocery store nearby that saved us a trip outside the park. The only issue was that AC would not work, it got hot inside the property in the evening and at night. We just opened some windows and handled the heat.

Nice and comfortable house close to nature
The house is nice and comfortable with excellent AC system, comfortable beds, enough space to gather 6 people, fully equipped kitchen. The location is great. It’s very peaceful, quite with a lot of possibilities for hiking and enjoying the nature. The description of the house in listing is very accurate and it met our expectations. The hosts provided us with helpful tips. We will stay here again! Thank you!

Authentic & superb stay at Wawona
So close to Wawona, the Pika house is full of 70’s charm. Spaciously nested just a minutes drive away from the Wawona hotel, we were struck by the high quality vintage decor, look and feel of the property. Would sure stay again, we loved it!!

North Wawona stay
Property is spacious with 2 bedrooms. Inside the park, so no long lines to enter the park each day, though it is about 45 minutes away from Yosemite Valley. Only issue was with the hot water (too hot and uncontrollable in master bath), which owner promised to address after being notified. Owner was responsive to all messages.

Very Nice
House is exactly as advertised and location is better than you could imagine if you are a hiker or runner. Especially if you are one from the east coast. Hosts were very open and communicative, which was great considering there was a major risk from a wildfire that occurred between our booking and stay that, thankfully for everyone involved, did not harm Wawona. Couldn’t have been more pleased.

Comfortable Yosemite getaway
The house was clean and comfortable for all 6 of us in our group. The beds were comfortable and there were air mattresses for our teen boys as well. Communication with the host was impressive and they were very helpful to our family. The house has a closet full of games and puzzles, which was a really nice, unexpected detail . I saw another review that mentioned no ac, but the ac was in great working order. It was very warm when we walked in and within minutes of turning it on the house was cool. We were very comfortable the whole time we were there. Thank you for a great trip!
