The entire unit is undergoing a remodel, which will be completed by March 15th, 2025. This upgrade will feature a new king bed and a king sofa bed, comfortably accommodating up to four guests. Enjoy nearby access to year-recreation in Yosemite Valley and Badger Pass at this cozy, loft-style studio in Yosemite West. The perfect home base for outdoor adventure, the space comes well-appointed for contemporary guest comfort. Relax after the day adventures with happy hour beverages and cookouts on the private deck or unwind on the sofa while watching your favorite shows on the smart TV. The kitchenette comes equipped with a handy suite of utensils, cookware, and appliances including a mid-size stove/oven, toaster, and coffee maker for at-home convenience, plus a dishwasher for easy cleanup.

THINGS TO KNOW
The WiFi can be spotty due to the mountain location, and guests may experience occasional outages or slower speeds. Guests should not rely on the internet service for streaming services or working from home.
Shared laundry facilities are located on-site.
A queen sofabed provides an additional sleeping option.
Vacasa does not manage all of the units within Yosemite West Condominiums, or maintain the common areas. The availability or condition of laundry facilities, ice machine and vending machines are out of our control.
This home is not equipped with air-conditioning.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The condo was good and is in a good location. The only downside was the springy and sunken in mattress, there is nothing worse that coming home to an uncomfortable bed after a day of hiking. Hopefully the host takes that into consideration for the next guests.

Studio Needs Major Updating
This place need major updating. Everything from the bed, carpet/floors, and appliances. View from the porch is dirt and a parking lot. Refrigerator is in a closet/room.

Convenient location to Yosemite Valley and Wohanna. The bed was really comfortable and they use all cotton sheets. No tv but they had DVD’s which was okay.

Good for a Couple Nights
The Good: Easy to get to. Great amount of parking. Kitchenette was nice and had the essentials. Extra blankets and pillows were provided. The Not-So-Good: Cell coverage for T-Mobile was nonexistent for the property. We also didn’t see a hardline on the grounds. Wi-Fi was hit or miss, sometimes off for hours, which means that you may be without contact during your stay. The bathroom was quite narrow. There’s about a 1’6” gap between the bathroom counter and shower that you need to squeeze through to access toilet. That, added to the steps to access the room door, may give ADA travelers pause. Overall: Good place to crash after a long day. It seems on-par for other properties in the area. For the price, it’s not too bad.

Yosemite Paradise!
This place is perfect for a Yosemite getaway! It is located inside the park (about 30 min from the Yosemite visitor center). Everything was very smooth and my husband and I loved staying here. We recommend packing some extra water as the tap water has a lot of minerals in it. Also, love that this place has an actual coffee pot over the single serve makers most places have. I would just be sure to bring some grounds yourself as there was only decaf there (likely left by another guest). Overall, great place! We would certainly stay here again.

Good location - antiquated condo
The proximity to the park is nice (about 30 minute drive to the valley) and you’re staying inside the park, so you don’t have to wait in the park entrance line everyday. The condo itself is small and antiquated. The appliances are very old and there isn’t much. Make sure to bring everything you need for your stay as there aren’t stores close by.

The condo is dated and in need of some TLC. The ancient carpet is stained and worn, with about 6 inches of the tack strip showing between kitchen and main room. The layout is not very functional with refrigerator in a separate little room from the kitchen, and the small bath difficult to maneuver with both a full bathtub and a long vanity. The tub tile is old and mismatched with dirty grout. I think it was adequately cleaned, but with the old stained carpet and stained tile and bathroom sink, it didn't feel like it. Location was OK, about 1/2 hour to Curry Village. The complex was fine. I just wouldn't rent this particular unit again.

Property management company - VRBO/VACASA was AWFUL
We have stayed at Yosemite West at least 6 other times, booking through other listing agents. Never had any issues. We are always 100% satisfied and happy with everything.. Not so much this time through VRBO/Vacasa. #1. There is no phone in the unit. There are signs all over that tell you a number to call with issues, but that number is to an out of state place... not someone local to deal with anything.. AND - since there is no cell reception.. and no phone... the only way to deal with any issue is to go to the courtesy phone in the next building, call the number of someone out of state, and they try to contact someone local.. etc...... Terrible. 2. There was a planned power outage. We were informed a couple days ahead of time. We replied that we would need an ice chest and ice for our refrigerated foods.. We recieved a message back that an ice chest would be provided. Well... the day of the outage.. the power went out.. and there was no ice chest. AFTER THE FACT - that evening, we got ANOTHER message saying that they would not provide an ice chest... SO... we lost all the refrigerated meats, cheese, milk and food in our refrigerator. This LOSS had a severe impact on us.. with a tight budget. We lost the food, which meant we had to buy more food, eat out (the reason we stay at places like this is to save on food costs).. and ultimately we had to check out a day early because we did not have the funding to stay another day and buy more food etc.

Great Little Spot
I was a little worried after seeing some negative reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised! This cabin had everything we needed and the whole process was very smooth and easy. I think 4 people would be very tight, but it worked perfectly for the two of us. We cooked both nights and even though the appliances are older everything worked great. Being inside the park was nice too so we didn’t have to worry about Yosemite reservations and lines getting in. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Half of what is in this unit is broken. On the listing under "Heating and Cooling" it is listed as "thermostat controlled" It isn't until you dig around further (which I didn't because I had no reason to doubt the listing) that you find out that Air Con is not included. I splurged on this unit (over $700 for two nights) because it was my birthday. My whole family had trouble sleeping in what is essentially a $35 per night kind of place. When I messaged the management they all understood how I could feel taken advantage of but nobody could offer compensation of any kind. They wouldn't even approve a late checkout despite my knowing the unit was not rented the next day. Based on this experience I don't see myself using VRBO again.

Perfect holiday 'home away from home'
Cabin was beautiful, had everything we needed. It is small, so perfect for a couple or maybe 1 child. There was no AC though, which was absolutely fine for our stay in September. However in summer this might be uncomfortable without AC, but you don't stay in Yosemite for the air-conditioning do you! Would definitely stay here again :) check in and out was also super easy, and location was certainly central and not touristy.
