The people were so nice, it was a nice and cozy room and Julie and Allan made us feel very welcome. They made amazing breakfast and were very caring. Would absolutely recommend!

From the moment we got there too the moment we left, Alan and Julie were the perfect hosts. The rooms were bigger than expected with our own ensuite and extremely clean. The choice at breakfast was amazing and if you wanted something not on the table just ask and it will be produced. Everything was in easy walking distance with plenty of places to stop for coffee and cake, Including Betty's which is a must. We are at the local tapas bar Ambience, food was amazing and staff very friendly. So much to do in York, and the City guest house is the perfect place to stay

Julie and Alan were such lovely, thoughtful and kind hosts who made me feel very welcome. My room was comfortable and quiet with great facilities. It was easy to find and in a great walking distance location to all attractions and fabulous restaurants, pubs and cafes. Breakfast was delicious with lots of wonderful choices. I will definitely stay here on my return trip to beautiful York.

It was a great stay at City Guest House. It has great charm and character which is great for a B&B. Allan and Julie were amazing and very accommodating and made sure everything was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.
