"3 families (6 adults and 7 kids) stayed here for one week. Great house, very well maintained and Lina is a fabulous host. Brilliant pool and games area and house well kitted out. Given location, would definitely recommend having a car for trips to town/beach/supermarket etc. Lovely touch providing breakfast every morning and extra (paid for) meals were tasty and good value. All in all, very good."

"The owner was incredibly helpful before our arrival and during our stay. Also, we had amazing meals cooked by the owner’s mum. We felt very looked after. The house and pool were perfect for our family and it was so convenient being in the centre of the village. We will definitely be returning."

"This is a beautiful villa, very modern and perfect for a family holiday. The pool isn’t too deep and is the same depth throughout so perfect for children. "This villa in the mountains above Plakia was beautiful. I stayed here with four friends and it was amazing. We were welcomed by one of the women who cleans. She gave us a tour of the place and had a homemade cake for us!! Then a few days later, delivered another one. The Villa is very clean, has a nice pool, a great charcoal grill and dining area outside. There are little beaches down the road, and major beaches with in drivable distance. It is very close to beachfront restaurants and shops."

"Villa Althaea was perfect, very clean, had everything and more you could possibly need. Loved the extra touches including a homemade lunch and cake left by the owner of the property welcoming us to Greece. So nice to have our very own private pool. Very sad to leave this beautiful villa. Only 1 restaurant within walking distance, so took a taxi to the beautiful Rethymno old town where there was loads of great restaurants and bars."

"We were made welcome as soon as we arrived. A food “basket” was waiting upon our arrival which was plenty for the 8 of us until we could go shopping the next day. The property was very spacious and clean. Helen the cleaner came in every 2/3 days to clean the Villa, change beds and towels. We had a fantastic stay and was made to feel welcome from the owner as soon as we arrived. Such a beautiful island with lots to see. Would definitely go back."

The house is excellently located just outside Georgioupolis, where there is a beautiful sandy and safe beach, small harbour, village square and numerous shops, tavernas and bars. "This villa is beautiful and the view is even better. The drive up from the coast is straight forward, even in the middle of the night! We had everything we needed, it’s a great place to chill by the pool for days on end but still managable to make day trips to some of the major sites. We had some very yummy food made by the owners one night and I would recommend doing this. We would definitely visit here again!"

The villas we stayed in was nicely sized, had all the amenities we needed. short walk to the nearby beach. others can access it but villas had their own lounge chairs with key. Main pool only open 5pm and later but each unit has a pool if needed. honestly, ocean is so much better as the water is clear and temperature perfect. few restaurants in walking distance. store just a short 2 minutes drive. central location about hour to chania, 90 minutes to south side. "We did enjoy our stay very much. The rooms were big enough for 4 people and quiet as well as clean. Very responsive service. The pool area though is too small - most beds were always taken and the water is very warm. There is no private beach nearby as mentioned in the property information. The property/rooms are a little dated too, especially the bathrooms. We would still come back as we enjoyed the great ocean view and the quietness of the rooms. "

"Absolutely incredible from arrival to departure. What stood out for us was the friendliness of all staff, the cleanliness of the whole place, the maintenance of the grounds and the quality of the food. We only did breakfast but wish we had done all inclusive. Absolutely outstanding and exceptional service. A nice touch was the offer of drinks on arrival. The hospitality all around was amazing and we already can't wait to return. Thank you "
