Nice room, bathroom had both shower and bath but when we went to use bath there was no plug so could not use which was disappointing. Shower was not very powerful at all. Plenty of tea /coffee provided and bottles of water provided. Beds comfy, enjoyed good sleep. They don’t do food anymore, so have to go else where for dinner & breakfast.
We were visiting family and the hotel was just down the road so very easy to get too free parking and nice breakfast
Room very pleasant and clean and warm as it was freezing outside
The young woman on reception was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was very nice. Would definitely stay again.

The receptionist was welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. But I was disappointed that breakfast wasn't available on a Sunday. The day when guests are more likely to want it.
I recently stayed at the Preston with my mother for one night on a visit to relatives.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable with a lovely outside sitting area. I found all the staff to be very friendly, helpful and professional.
Lovely peaceful stay at The Preston over a weekend. Friendly & professional reception when booking in on arrival. The room was a triple bed room with plenty of space and an en-suite. It was warm and comfortable and spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was superb and the drink in the bar one evening was very nice.
We would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Yeovil.
The staff was so lovely. I travelled into Yeovil for an interview and was late to check in due to train delays but they made sure to leave clear and concise instructions on how to access my room. The beds were so comfortable. They were very kind to let me check out 30 mins later because of my interview time. They were excellent and I would recommend them again and I will be sure to visit again❤️ It was a pleasure. Probably my favourite thing about being in Yeovil❤️
Room was clean.
For a room at £99 per night it was very poor. First thing you notice when entering the room was the curtain poles, they must have been put up by someone absolutely drunk. Was advertised as having the restaurant open but it wasnt so we had to go out to eat and no breakfast in the morning. wouldnt have stopped there if we had known
Unfortunately, room was very cramped. Heater control was a bit faulty. No heater in bathroom so that was cold. Random step in the bathroom. Shower was nice and warm. Overall, I felt it was over-priced.
From the reviews we picked this hotel as we traveled from the midlands for a funeral.
We check in nice and easy and was told where are room was it was nice and clean.
We come back to are room about 10pm and noticed that on the back of the door to have breakfast we had to request it before 7pm we was never told this when we check in or via emails.
We had the spot lights shining though the window and the room was to warm during the night which made are stay uncomfortable we was woken up at 7am by a delivery being made for the bar so wasnt happy as we had a bad night sleep and we had a long day ahead
Overall a tidy room but would recommend not sleeping in room 1

The bed had a metal bedframe, which was very noisy and creaked loudly every time you moved .I couldn't sleep and my husband ended up having to move into a single bed in the adjoining room . We struggled to get hot water for a shower although the staff were very quick to have a look at it .
We were visiting Yeovil for the funeral of a family member and were grateful for the friendliness of the staff and comfortable beds. This made a very upsetting visit as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was great and the service in the morning was super attentive. I was called before our arrival and talked through the check-in as the reception was going to be closed when we arrived. Not a problem at all as the instructions and manner of the person speaking to me on the phone were top-notch.
Really liked the decor and the layout of the building. My only wish would have been for more water pressure in the bath taps allowing for a bath to run faster, but that's not a deal breaker.
We'd visit again for sure

Disappointed
Water coming through the ceiling from rain from 3.30am meant a not very restful nights sleep. Mentioned in the morning to be told someone would into it. Made a phone call later to try and make a complaint, was promised a call back, but never happened.

Would recommend
Staff are lovely. Room was fine over all, however towel rail in the bathroom was falling off the wall. Awkward with toilet roll as no holder of any kind and seems you can't have heated towel radiator on without water pressure being affected. The shower trickled water out. Room was nicely done and presented and nice touch with the welcome biscuits and bottles of water. Bed a little uncomfortable but that's a personal preference. Family room lay out was good but the bed in the alcove was uncomfortable as it wasn't on a bed base but on a solid stone base so my son had a very bad nights sleep. We stayed here as very local to family and it's just one night so would stay again. I only have experience of the family rooms but had family with me staying in the double rooms and all good with those. They put a lot of effort in and make a really lovely breakfast. The staff are all very helpful and welcoming.
