"In the 'real' Shanghai beneath the high-rise buildings, seeing people as they go about their day, back from main roads. AC was a it strong, especially in the bathroom. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially Tao and May. Some maps/brochures/helpful tourist information would be good. I would recommend this place to anyone."

"For the price you can't complain. Comfy bed, good shower, 15 minutes walk to the old town. Hundreds of restaurants just outside. Not far from the subway (lindun road stop) Friendly staff. Nothing less than 5 stars from me, I'll come here next time. "

The room has no window. no ventilation, not big enough for two people to use even, smells of tuilet, moldy washroom. "There is no so-called traditional reception but just a open workplace with multiple unknown friend guest sitting together like they're having friends gathering...secondly, the reception told me frankly they don't often check reservation from hotels.com therefore they couldn't even find my reservation number.....thirdly....the overall experience is more like staying in a local college dorm instead of a hostel....the bathroom is filled with personal stuff and it looks like there is lack of...
