During checkout at 12pm front desk could not find my reservation and told me their system was down, and gave me a bill for the stay. I showed them my hotels.com 'your reservation is guaranteed' receipt and confirmation ID, and had them fumble around for an hour, saying confirmation ID was not the reservation ID they needed, continually asking me for cash, insisting on my credit card (gave them but they couldn't process amex), phoning their manager (who i spoke to over a screaming baby as his background noise), and saying wait 5 more minutes, 5 more minutes! I had an appointment at 1pm and waited until 1:05, and which point I politely told them I had waited over an hour and had done all i could and walked out. Unbelievably, they tried to keep me even longer with 'wait 5 more minutes'. I can not believe I even waited an hour for them. In retrospect, I should have walked out in 20 minutes.
This is the kind of customer service that gets you a bad name and no repeat customers.
