"Very nice location just into city centre. Walkable to restaurants, night markets and shops. Supervised underground parking. Nice big room with nice bed. Bathroom with nice toiletries suitable to the hardness/softness of the water. Nice touch with working fridge and drinks, and daily Happy Hour in the Lobby bar with free canned drinks and snacks. Very convenient to Expressway system. An excellent hotel overall."

"I don't know why Lin Hotel has below a 9 rating. It's an incredible hotel and feels like a Vegas 5 star hotel like the Wynn or Encore. The location is extremely close to major parts of the city. The staff is extremely nice and speaks english. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean, but the beds were a little soft. "This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, that it's in Taiwan, where expectations of hotels is low makes that even more impressive! The hotel itself is on is Ita Thao side of Sun Moon lake, which in my opinion is the better side. We didn't like the Main side as much. You step out the door pretty much onto the main road with all the street food vendors for snacks/breakfast/lunch/dinner. As they shut up by 7pm it doesn't disturb you in the evening. "I am glad that I picked this hotel to stay overnight prior to my high speed train to Taipei next day. Excellent location and many dining options. Breakfast was superb. No doubt I will stay here again on my next trip to TaiChung. "

"Overall very good. Great location and service. Comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Right next to Sogo, Watsons, and Family Mart. Close to Caligraphy Park and lots of places to eat nearby. They also have easy to use washer and dryer for NT50. Great place, will stay here again on our next trip, and recommend this hotel."

"Be aware this is an old dormitory facility. The rooms are basic but clean. The whole place smells a bit of mildew. Pillows are not good. There are many hills and stairs to get to some of the rooms. Breakfast was good. It was convenient to be inside the park starting the day, as we avoided some of the crowds from buses. "

wonderful place and views

"just in front of the train station but without the noise of the trains. very good sound barrier. comfortable and clean room. MacDonald's, convenient stores and and other food within walking distance. cheap laundry. lovely lounge with nice views of Douliu. will stay here again ! "

Spacious and Clean

"The rooms are spacious and clean. Love the bathroom most! It's big, clean and offers integrated hygiene air exchange system, toilet seat warmer etc. However, the hotel may want to consider offering paid early check-in option and a safer luggage storage area. Wanted to pay for early check-in at noon but was not allowed. Was told to leave our luggage at the back staircase area with no security or recording by the staff. Anyone can just open and take the luggage."
