There are many steep, uneven, and slanted steps within the castle and down to the Ardamis hotel. "This property within the walls of Monemvasia was beyond amazing. The character alone, proximity to the square and restaurants along with a private courtyard was beyond our expectations. Just a flight of stairs below is a swim area, so unique that you have to say you’ve done it! Be sure to direct message the property before you arrive, they will make sure to greet you and arrange a porter! The stairs are a lot so pack smart and light! We drove and got lucky with parking … but there isn’t a lot! ...

"This is really good value for money. The family owing the place were very friendly. The place is outside of the town and a little up the hill, with a great view of the bay. The room fine but small, the kitchenette was good and well equipped. The place outside was like a nice garden with lemons on the lemon tree, when we were there. You got the feeling that all that was missing was a camp fire. "

"As advertised, this is a 2-level, 2-bedroom apartment literally steps from the sea. A steady breeze blew over the Aegean as we stared at Monemvasia. Beds were comfortable. There are two bathrooms, and a kitchen we barely used. Nice outdoor seating and table. A great place to slow down and enjoy the view. Just a few things to know ... the beach is rocky and the waves 1-3 feet high so it's different from some beaches ... no wifi and cell service is spotty ... about 10 minute easy drive to...
