"We took our 3 grandchildren ages 6, 8 and 10 to Chicago as a Christmas gift. We chose this resort because of the water park. They had a blast! We then drove to Shedd Aquarium for a day, which was a very doable drive, 1 1/2 hours and still had time for them to come back and swim. The life guards were very observant of the kids swimming and did a great job. The amusement center was an added bonus as well as an on sight restaurant, snack shop and bar. We would definitely recommend this...

"the hotel esplanade is magnificent. it is on the edge of a river, but unfortunately I could not stay because of a mix-up of location. it is opposite the place where I was supposed to go. and they refunded my entire stay! I imagine what could have stayed, it must be an incredible experience 100/100 recommended"

"Pretty disappointed in the hotel. There were mold/mildew spots on the ceiling, a brown water stain on the ceiling in the bathroom. The refrigerator was dirty and unusable, and it just did not feel clean. The TV despite good weather kept cutting out and freezing when I complained the manager Said they would fix it tomorrow. The hallway carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in sometime and the breakfast was primarily packaged donuts, machine dispensed coffee and cereal. "
