Grim
I chose this place for its location close to where I needed to be first thing the next morning. I knew it was cheap, so I didn't expect luxury. The staff I met were pleasant, and doing their best. BUT. The room was basic and the decor grim. Water in the basin and the shower came only in a dribble, so you had to be very patient waiting for any hot to come through. I never had time to wait for anything better than warm. The free WiFi didn't work. They were a bit nonplussed when I asked to order dinner, and rustled up some cold roast beef, chips, peas and salad which actually wasn't bad. My wanting breakfast also took them by surprise, but that was arranged and was also ok, except that I had to eat it in the restaurant were there is an intense smell of stale urine. I think it might be decomposing carpet underlay, but urine is what it smells like. When I left, they said perhaps if I'm in the area again, they'll see me again. They won't.

Never again
Upon arrival i was met by a small slim lady who is also the cleaner, her attitude towards me was horrendous, first she said i was to early, despite being on time, then she slammed the room key down on the counter, she spoke to me like utter trash, and didnt even tell me which way it was to my room, the room was tiny, bed uncomfortable, one of the worst stays ever, manners cost nothing, avoid at all cost.

Not great,we booked bed & breakfast but on arrival was told breakfast was now £7.50 each and should not expect it as we had only paid £40 for the booking. We refused & there was no apology or attempt to compromise. Not really bothered but a booking should be honoured as Expedia advertised the hotel as bed & breakfast but the hotel staff say they don't do the breakfast as a package. Very strange!! Hotel is next to busy road & railway station single glazing means you hear everything outside all night plus the tapping against the wall as the guests in the next room had sex was wonderful.living the dream!

Everything was good except that breakfast was included but they refused to supply it. I showed them the web page and that breakfast was included in the price but they said that they had never heard of ebookers. We had to go and get breakfast elsewhere.

Pleasant enough
Pleasant staff and no real complaints other than (no offence) this is not an £80 a night hotel. Decor is a little dated
