Matteson’s Rental Cabins

Our three cabins are located just inside the Adirondack Park boundary line. Each cabin is 400 square feet with a full kitchen, full bathroom, and 2 queen beds. For summer fun, we are located close to many state lakes, rivers and ponds. In the fall the area is a hunting paradise with thousands of acres of public land locally. Winter time we are located directly on the snowmobile trail and within 15 minutes from cross country and downhill skiing trails.

We came up to go snowmobiling. Great to have the trails right there. Place was perfect for 2 of us to stay at for the weekend. Will definitely stay again.

Quick Weekend Escape
We hadn’t been to the area in about 15 years. Great place to stay away from the bustle of Old Forge. Don’t miss the bake goods in the store, they were fantastic!

The place is nice cozy. For the price you pay it's prefect in every way. We definitely will be returning and don't forget to check out his dinners and baked goods. They also have beautiful flowers. Over all they are super friendly and we loved everything they had to offer.

Cozy cabin
This cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed for a few nights near old forge. The beds were comfortable, we loved the fire pit, picnic table, and Adirondack chairs on the porch…..it was all lovely. The market on site was super convenient for picking up last minute meals and desserts. Bridget the hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. Hope to stay again sometime!

Cabin was perfect for our needs. Very nice bath with soft towels too. If you do plan to cook, bring spatula, knife, cutting board otherwise plenty of pans, dishes, silverware. Great store next door with home made goods, plants/flowers. Would definitely recommend!

The cabin was great inside, it was very nice to stay inside it. The area where the cabin is located it was hard to navigate around. He is locating right next to a nursery. There's a lot of traffic in the area. Not enough room to park a truck and a boat.

Loved the cabin (super clean and cozy), location convenient and the owners are wonderful and their store is delightful. Was disappointed our unit did not have wifi (inside our cabin) or AC despite the listing saying so. Both are easily fixable but certainly worth noting.

The cabins are about 17 miles from Old Forge. Nice and quiet. No bear. You will need to bring your own cooking utensils, large bowls and cooking sheets, but dishes, silverware, pots and pans are provided. The owners are nice and attentive if problems arise. They have a market on the property and sell food, fresh fruits and vegetables as well as grocery items. We had a wonderful time and not only recommend this place, but will rent again in the future!
