"This place was a great choice for our visit to DC college campuses, the zoo, and the Cherry Blossom Festival. It’s conveniently located to park and ride the Metro on the red line. Parking was a breeze, the kitchen is pretty well set up for feeding a family (it doesn’t have a blender or kitchen towels at this time and the dishwasher racks are on their last leg), and the furniture is all comfortable. "Great property, just as listed. We had two adults and four children, and had plenty of space for everyone. The complimentary water bottles, juice, and fruit were an extra kind touch. We did have to drive to the metro station, but there are two very close and we found parking every day without issues. The neighborhood was very quiet, and we never heard the other residents who were renting the attached units. "

"The condo is quite spacious, more than expected. We enjoyed the modern touches and private parking is a big plus in downtown Frederick. So close to Carroll Creek and Market St. The hosts are responsive. We highly recommend staying at Gideon Getaways! "

"Everything was wonderful with two small exceptions. There were no oven mitts or salt, pepper, spices etc. to help facilitate our personal cooking. With large family we don’t have the option to go out to eat regularly. There is an Aldi’s less than a mile away, which is great. Also there was not much for rags and kitchen towels etc, for cleaning. "

"What a lovely home! We enjoyed everything about our stay. It was close enough to DC to get there easily, but far enough away to escape the crowds and traffic. The house was clean and well-kept, and the kitchen was stocked with many helpful items. We loved having a yard and a driveway with designated parking. "Being able to walk to the Silver Spring Metro station was a big plus, which allowed us to leave our car each day. There are plenty of restaurant options just up the hill from the house. Although it's listed as a basement, there were plenty of windows to bring in natural light.We would choose this place again. "
