Beautiful Vermont Mountaintop on 10 Acres- House and Cabin

Our beautiful country home, Five Trees, is a special mountain retreat set in the forests of northern Vermont on 10 acres of lawns, gardens and forest. The house has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths and sleeps 8+ in bedrooms and separate family room; another 2 in the cabin. This special retreat has an open, fully equipped kitchen with baking nook, large living/dining space with wood stove, office with high speed wireless internet, and a finished basement/playroom with radiant heat.

The house has a dishwasher and washer/dryer. In addition to the interior, there is a large screened porch, as well as numerous decks with views of the gardens and the mountains. A separate, cozy cabin with a sleeping loft and a wood fired stove overlooks the swimming pond. A beautiful trail circles our forest and connects into a longer trail network ideal for cross-country skiing, running, mountain biking and snowshoeing.

Five Trees is located about 15-20 mins from Stowe, 30 mins from Smugglers Notch, and 1 hour from Burlington. The area is wonderful for hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking/canoeing, skiing (cross country and downhill), skating, and snowshoeing. No pets, no smoking. 1 hour from Burlington, 2 hours from Montreal, 3 hours from Boston.

This is the perfect spot for truly memorable family getaways, from the peace and serenity of the country to unparalleled outdoor adventure to the most amazing night sky anywhere.

Overall nice experience
Overall it was a nice experience. A few suggestions. It is difficult to find because the address is on a mailbox that has fallen. This should be fixed. Additionally, it would have been nice to know that there was no television. This was disappointing. Also the advertisement talked about a bunk house to sleep 2. This was not in workin order. There was also nothing to put trash in. Bins in the garage would be nice T Otherwise we enjoyed our week-long stay. The pond was wonderful and the children enjoyed it as they did the puzzles and games that were available. Thank you.

Ski weekend
Beautiful country location. Layout was great for families with kids to eat and hang out. Nice assortment of games. Drive to Stowe town was accurate in listening (25 minutes)but to Stowe mountain for skiing took longer than mentioned in listing. This may have been due to the timing of our trip- school vacation week. Was a quick trip to the town of Stowe but heavy congestion to get to the mountain. Took anywhere from 45 minutes to 3.5 hours. The long duration was due to snow storm when we were there and heavy congestion on the mountain. It was perfect for us and would stay again

Rural Living Close to Much Hiking--with Extras
Beautiful, comfortable, and simple wood home on multiple acres off smooth dirt road fully supplied, with canoe and trampoline and fire pit as extras. Away from fall crowds in larger towns, but easy access to Stowe and others.

Great house in a beautiful location!
My parents & I had a great stay at Adam's property! This is a charming house near Lake Elmore and was a great central location between Stowe and Burke for us! Adam was very responsive and the house was very homely and cozy. I would stay here again!

Perfect Nature Getaway for Family with Young Kids
We are a family with two young boys (3 and 5) and loved our Five Trees nature getaway. The home was charming and lovely and the grounds were fantastic. We enjoyed the outside porch, screened porch, the picnic table, the swing, the large trampoline, the hammock, the pond with so many frogs, the canoe, and the wild raspberry bushes. So much to explore just at the property! The location was great and we were just a short drive to yummy food options and excellent family hikes (ie North Branch Cascades Falls and Moss Glen Falls are the one we liked best). Adam was a great host and very helpful whenever we asked any questions. Five Trees is a place we would definitely come back to!

Christmas Break
Adam is extremely responsive and the house met our needs for the family. The woodburning stove was an excellent source of heat and set a nice ambiance with the clear front. The Fire Tower Pizza place in Elmore Pond was ridiculously good!!

Great Setting for Vacation Getaway
Our families enjoyed a fun winter break in this comfy home. Five Trees has all the amenities you need for a relaxing, warm and fun-filled winter retreat. Though it was frigid outside (-19), the wood burning stove and radiant heat provided a warm setting for our fun yet relaxing vacation. The large dining area is a perfect backdrop for home cooked meals to be shared with family and friends. This home offers three floors of living space. The lower level can accommodate your little ones or be used as a sun-filled reading area. The main living area is good for game playing, sitting by the fire enjoying conversations or simply reading and relaxing . The upper level has three clean and comfortable bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. Our familes took advantage of skiing at Stowe, hiking in the easily accessible trails, and exploring the beautiful village of Stowe and neighboring towns . We also enjoyed local area attractions such as visits to the Trapp Family Lodge and the Ben and Jerry’s factory. Our host, Adam was attentive to all our needs and very helpful. Thank you Adam for sharing your home with us!

A sweet home in a beautiful setting
We just came back from a lovely, memorable Christmas break in northern Vermont. The house is comfortable and picturesque and the grounds stunning. Stowe received some 40" of snow just before and during our stay, so the skiing was first rate. Let alone the hikes on any of the numerous trails around the house. I can't imagine how beautiful it must be in summer. As for amenities, everything is provided and cooking big meals and sitting around the fire were the centerpiece of our week. In all, a perfect vacation - I would go back many times over.

Great Family House with Pond
My family, 3 generations, stayed in this house for a wonderful week. Nine of us slept here very comfortably. My granddaughters, 11 and 8 years old, loved the pond; they were in it from right after breakfast until dark, even in the rain. When they tired of splashing and swimming, they enjoyed catching frogs and tadpoles. There's a comfortably furnished screened in porch through which a cool breeze blows, looking out on the pond and lovely mountain views. You cannot see the house from the road. The house comes with a canoe and foam blocks for carrying it on your vehicle. We took it to Green River Reservoir State Park, an incredibly beautiful and quiet lake (no motors) where you can paddle for the day or camp overnight. We also canoed down the pleasant Lemoille River. Lake Elmore State Park for swimming, paddling and hiking is just down the road. There's a small general store near Lake Elmore as well as two supermarkets in nearby Morrisville. This is the best vacation house we've ever stayed at and we plan to come back.

Winter Wonderful!
We are not skiers, but had family events scheduled in Northern VT and decided against staying at a hotel. This was far, far nicer! Cozy wood stove, gorgeous views, well located. We would definitely stay there again!
