"The honest truth is I was disappointed. But I had weirdly high expectations, I think. This property is essentially a really old motel that’s been redecorated. The re-decor is cute, but even that needs an update as everything is worn and sometimes in need of repair. If I were to do just one thing in the rooms, though, it would be to update to walk-in showers. If there isn’t budget for that I’d at least add a small fridge and a small microwave to the rooms. "Did not know there was a train that runs right by the hotel! The room provides a sound/white noise machine so I turned that on. Luckily I was so tired I fell asleep and slept through the night, but the train was very loud before that point. Staff at checkin was fantastic. Room was beautiful. Wish that the self park area was closer so as a result I opted for the expensive valet option. "

"It was a quick and simple check-in. Miss Jazzy, the front desk person, had a wonderful personality, and she was very knowledgeable about the hotel and the surrounding area. The room was clean and well lit and just a pleasure to be in. At check -out, I would have liked to have gotten a receipt, as this was a business trip, but it was explained to me that I could not get one, since I booked through hotels.com. "Hotel is tucked away off of Atlanta Highway in Athens. Parking was a bit tight when full. Nothing great but nothing terrible. The indoor pool is about the size of a hot tub though. "
