Spread out in this NEWLY REMODELED two bedroom condo at Iron Horse. The open floor plan with vaulted ceilings in the living area allow for great family time. The kitchen offers plenty of counter space and a breakfast bar. The living room has a Murphy bed, large flat screen TV and gas fireplace. You can also enjoy the views from your private balcony located behind the dining table. The primary bedroom offers a queen size bed and attached full bath. The guest bedroom has a twin over twin bunk bed with twin trundle. All these sleeping options make this spacious condo able to sleep 7 guests. Free Wi-Fi.

This property uses the Triple Sheet Method where we use two sheets to encase the comforter. This sheet-made duvet cover gets washed between each and every guest to provide an extra clean sleeping experience.

For Winter reservations:
Iron Horse is located on the corridor run that connects the base of Mary Jane to the base of Winter Park.
This corridor run (marked as a green run on the trail map) is about 1 mile long. Base of Mary Jane sits higher (elevation wise) than base of Winter Park.
From Iron Horse you ski down 1/4 mile to base of Winter Park, and to ski home you must go over the Mary Jane saide to catch the corridor run. Iron Horse is located 3/4 mile down the corridor run from Mary Jane.
To get to the base of Mary Jane, you will have to be able to manage a blue trail. (just fyi)
You do also have the option to use the free shuttle offered by Town of Winter Park. Iron Horse complex is on the “green line."

The unit provides two parking passes. Garage parking is for one vehicle on a first come first serve basis. There is a lost pass replacement fee.

For added convenience a full-service ski shop with rental options is located on the property. Washers and dryers are available on the second floor of the D building. Level 5 in the D building provides a room for ski storage and ski-in/ski-out access (green corridor). The free Lift bus also picks up frequently at the main entrance for easy shuttle service to the Village.

There is common ski storage located on the fifth floor of the D building, in the back of building near the doors to the corridor ski run. However, locks for rack are not provided. If you would like to buy a ski lock to secure skis here, you must go to front desk and they are available for $35. Note this specific lock/rack combination does not work for snowboards.

For our fellow mountain bike lovers: we are very sorry, but management does not allow bicycles stored inside condos or on balconies. To prevent mud and chain oil damage to our carpets, as well as handle bar scratches on the walls; we must kindly ask you to not store bikes inside the condo. We are working with the HOA of all our properties to figure out bike storage in the long term as our mountain sports grow in popularity. Thank you for your understanding.

Winter Park Resort is only w miles away and the FREE resort shuttle will drop you off right in the middle of the resort base village which includes the lifts for skiing/boarding/mountain biking, snow tubing, hiking, ice skating, shopping, dining, scheduled entertainment, and other attractions including several summer activities. The Foundry just 4.6 miles away with a bowling alley, movie theater and brick oven pizza bar. Safeway grocery store at Fraser is just 6.1 miles away.

Please note if you are arriving by train, there is no facility on-site for luggage storage.

Great location, nice updated condo!
We had a small but quickly solved issue with the wifi, but Charlotte was really helpful with solving that. Love the updates and amenities at the Iron Horse. We will be back.

Excellent accommodations
The condo was everything as advertised. Clean, well-appointed, easy access from covered garage with carts for our luggage. My only slight negative was the television reception. We only tried the tv in the living room . The stations we tried to watch were seriously pixilated so that it was impossible to watch. I'm guessing a quick call to the provider will fix the problem . Otherwise, it was a terrific stay.

Great location, needs a few things
The good: The unit is in the perfect spot for skiing. Walk one floor down stairs and at the ski bridge. Convenience of rentals great! Def recommend if skiing. The laundry and pool and work out area great! Just enough room for two adults and two teenagers. The needs improvement: Nothing to cook on in oven. Only one Pyrex dish that was appropriate for an oven. Need a baking sheet at minimum. Coffee table was in disarray and broke to pieces. Toilet paper holder in master would not stay on wall. The bad: Nothing really with the unit itself. The property advertised a restaurant. None to be found. Nothing in walking distance. Winter Park has only public transportation. And very unfriendly at that. Took over 3 hours to get groceries with multiple bus changes. We luckily found the one Uber driver on day three and adopted him. Thank the lord! I have no idea how people could spend so much to ski and no infrastructure to support eating out, groceries, etc. So in general, skiing was great. I’d rather go Steamboat instead. Probably will not be back to Winter Park unfortunately.

This is an older building, and condo is small. Much smaller than what it looked like in the pictures. To the plus side, everything worked, the property manager was attentive and the location as a ski in ski out place was very good.

Best place at Iron Horse
We have been staying at Iron Horse for 5 summers. This was by far the most amazing property. We absolutely loved the gorgeous new renovations and there was lots of space for our family of 4. The property manager was exceptionally responsive. We will absolutely be back!

The condo is really nicely remodeled, the location is fantastic and makes it very easy to get to and from the slopes. It could use a cookie sheet, some other kitchen utensils (like tongs), but otherwise we felt right at home!

Wonderful ski in/out location as long as you can ski down Mary Jane (blue trail). Location within the condo complex positions this unit as close as possible to the ski access. We loved it! The space was very comfortable and laid out well for a two-bedroom, two-bath unit. Condo complex has very good hot tubs and a heated pool.

Very new updates, clean and functional for a family. The only issue we had was the dishwasher wasn’t working so we couldn’t start the dishes before leaving, but I’m sure it’s b/c it’s new and maybe needs to be plugged in? Nice stay, thank you!

Great condo and location! My one thing is that if you have kids (beginners or intermediate) the Mary Jane (blue) you take back to Iron Horse was a little difficult for them. When the kids went out we had to shuttle back. But after a long day of skiing the hot tub was amazing 🙌🏼

Have stayed in the 1 bedroom units and 2 bedroom units, they are virtually the same except for the extra bedroom off the one side. Only one complaint for this trip - BOTH hot tubs on Slopeside were closed, and trekking over to Riverside hot tubs was not only unwanted, but not fun. Hot tubs after skiing are always part of the day, so this was a huge disappointment. Still, we are there to ski, and Zephyr is a great location!

Best location for ski-in/ski-out!
This property is just what we were looking for and pretty much what we expected. It is a bit tired, and could use a renovation. But the location can't be beat if you want easy ski-in and ski-out, and that's what we were looking for. The accommodations are just okay. It has everything you need. But, as mentioned, it is a bit dated and tired. The master bed was comfortable. My daughters said the bunk beds were not. The Murphy bed in the living room was fine. Fortunately there were just the 4 of us, so our daughters slept on the Murphy bed. The kitchen was fine and serviceable. The ice maker in the freezer did ot work, which was a big negative. There was an ice bucket in the freezer, but I had no idea where I could get ice. There was only one roll of paper towels, which we went through during our stay. We had to use toilet paper and cloth hand towels from the bathrooms to clean the kitchen after that. And we didn't find the extra garbage bags in the bottom of the garbage can until we removed the overflowing garbage bag when checking out on the last day. So we had to dispose of extra garbage separately the last day or so. It would have been nice if the extras were in the cabinet - or if we were told where they were. The best part, though - the location. The unit is on the top floor at the very end of the building closest to the Corridor run (between Mary Jane and Winter Park bases). Down one flight of stairs and you are at the ski lockers. Out the door, across a short catwalk, and up one flight of stairs and you are literally on Corridor run. I know that sounds like a lot, especially with the stairs, but it really is not. Leaving in the morning, you ski down to the gondola at Winter Park base. It is a bit flat, so there may be some shuffling and pushing. Our first day was icy (i.e. fast), so it wasn't bad. We had fresh snow that was a bit wet (springtime) after that, which slowed us down. So it was work the remaining days getting to the gondola - but not too bad. To get back to the gondola, you have to come down to the Mary Jane base. You need to take Mary Jane run (Blue) and peel off to the left to get directly onto Corridor (Green). If you go all the way to Mary Jane base, you'll have to walk uphill a bit in the snow to get to Corridor. Not perfect, but much better that what I have experienced at other places that label themselves ski-in/ski-out. I'm sure there are nicer places to stay, but you will pay more for them

Very nice condo. Clean and well equipped. Pictures are very accurate. Walk out the door, go down a flight of steps and you are at the ski lockers and a very short walk to the slope that takes you to the base of the mountain and the gondola. Management company was great to work with providing recommendations and responding quickly to questions and needs. Be sure to ask about ice before checking in as the ice maker is not working as well as the pubic ice machine in the adjoining building. If you want ice, you will likely want to buy a bag with your groceries. We will definitely stay here again.
