Beautifully furnished condo just minutes from all things Winter Park. This unit was decorated to provide the warmth and coziness of home while still allowing plenty of room for entertaining family and friends alike. Walking distance to many areas and activities: Hideaway Park (amphitheater, playground, fire pit, skate park, sledding), biking/hiking trails, all types of restaurants/shops, and access to The Lift (free public bus to Winter Park resort - 10 min ride). You'll sleep peacefully knowing adventure awaits you when you wake up.
PLEASE NOTE: NO ANIMALS of any kind are allowed. The property is allergy free due to owner's family being allergic to animal hair, dander, feathers and the like. This poses a severe health hazard to host's family members and therefore there are no exceptions to this rule. You will not be allowed to check in, your reservation will be canceled and a $200 deep cleaning fee will be assessed.
PLEASE NOTE: As of JUNE 2024, the new neighborhood ROAM continues to be built but all construction close to trailhead on the condos has been completed. Our building is one that is NOT located directly next to the construction, and construction noise has now diminished significantly. Though construction continues noise is now quite minimal. This would affect all buildings in trailhead lodges and other neighboring communities. This condo complex has everything you need to have a wonderful Winter Park vacation. Quick access to "The Lift", the local Winter Park public transit that provides an easy 10 min ride to the resort from our stop (about 3 miles) or spots throughout the town. Bikers have quick access to trails that start just yards from the unit. Not interested in skiing or biking? Not to worry! The trails that start right behind the unit wind through the beautiful, peaceful Fraser river for hours of hiking fun. THE COMPLEX
- An elevator is available for use to get the third floor, right outside our door. No need for stairs!
- Heated community outdoor pool.
- Club-house offering an exercise room, pool table, outdoor grills and fire pit.
- Lastly, end the day in the large jacuzzi at the community club house.
THE UNIT
Radiant floor heating provides a soothing warmth to your feet while walking around in the unit. Hang up your jacket and kick off your shoes, then head down the hallway to an open-concept living/dining/kitchen area. In the kitchen/dining area, you will find a beautiful large table with ample room to sit and have a family meal or play a game. Adjacent to the table are three comfortable counter stools to sit and chat with those in the kitchen. The gourmet kitchen is sure to please even the fanciest of chefs, built with granite countertops, stainless appliances, and electric smooth top range, this kitchen has it all. It is fully stocked with a knife set, dinnerware for 12, most common appliances, and a complimentary set of spices and oils to whip up the perfect dish.
The living room has a large cozy couch, a smaller queen pull out leather couch, and a leather oversized chair all with ample blankets to curl up by the gas fireplace to watch your favorite shows. You wont miss a beat watching shows or movies on the large tv equipped with cable and apple tv or simply pull out your favorite book and relax and enjoy the views on the deck while listening to the soothing sounds of the Fraser river. The condo is also equipped with Bluetooth speakers for listening to music at your leisure.
The master suite features a comfortable king bed, dresser with plenty of storage, and an en-suite bathroom. There is also an oversized closet with more than enough room to store items as needed. The guest room has a loft XL twin bed above a queen bed and has amazing views of the river and mountains. The room also features a pull-out twin couch to accommodate up to 4 people. All bathrooms are fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hair dryers and both bedrooms have 45" flat screen TVs with cable. A pack n' play is provided in the master closet for those traveling with little ones as well as booster seat and high chair.
The guest room has a queen bed and an oversized full bunk above the queen. It is also equipped with a nice lounge seat that can be utilized as a pull out twin as needed. There is a dresser that can be used to store all your belongings or the closet has ample storage space as well.
When your deciding on your dinner plans, and eating out just doesn't seem fitting, don't forget to wonder over to the club house where there is ample indoor seating and outdoor seating. Two gas grills are available for use by all guests and they overlook the pool area. If a workout is needed, there is a small fitness center for a good workout. Or just walk across the street and let the kids run wild at the hideaway park where there are climbing walls, firepit, skate park, and children's park for endless fun.
LOCATION
From world-class Skiing and Mountain biking, to hiking and fishing, the Winter Park area has it all. There is also the Grand Park Rec Center just a short drive from the unit that has an indoor pool/water slide, hot tubs, rock climbing, full gym, and indoor track. Just a short drive away from the Trailhead Lodges, one can find endless hiking/biking trails, horseback riding, even dog sled and horse-drawn carriage activities can be found. Grand lake and Rocky Mountain National Park are around an hour away for incredible day trips. One doesn't have to travel far from the unit to enjoy great food, local coffee, and craft beers. Winter Park was the first "big mountain" ski area I visited as a child from the Midwest and has held a nostalgic place in my heart ever since. Because we frequent Winter Park, we want this home to be as inviting as possible and hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we love going there. As such, please respect our home and adhere to the strict no smoking rule in the unit or the condo as well as the other house rules including no pets.
