Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Cabin with serene private lake views from living room and bedroom. Large deck to enjoy the view and enjoy your favorite meal or beverage. Fully equipped kitchen. Quiet and gated community with fishing ponds and many walking trails. Many activities - Enjoy fishing, take the kayak onto the lake, make s'mores at the fire pit, relax on the 2 person hammock, enjoy the trails or play backyard games. A true peaceful retreat from city life.

Located in a resort community with gated access, this cabin has about 700 sqft of living space with 1 bedroom, a bunk bed in the living room. Direct lake access from backyard to the largest pond in the community.

PLEASE NOTE: Inside fireplace is not to be used!

There is a noise detection device in the living room on the ceiling. This device does not record audio. It only detects the noise levels and alert if it is too high

Really Neat Place
Great experience .. quiet little place and the kids caught lots of fish from the dock which is really nice as well .. we’ll for sure be back next time we come to this part of Texas

Relaxing weekend at the cabin
We enjoyed our weekend at this quaint little cabin. The view from the deck is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the wildlife. The cabin is not far from Winnsboro and we found some great restaurants. The communication with our host was excellent.

An unbelievable view
The views from the cabin were amazing! We had a very restful stay. We took our 11 year old son and dog. The cabin was super spacious, had everything we needed, and was located right on the water. We loved everything about our stay and would love to go back!

Room with a View
It rained most of the time we were there so a covered porch would have been awesome BUT the big sliding glass door provided the most perfect view of the pond and the trees. It was peaceful.

Our experience with this lake house was amazing! We did exactly what we wanted to… relaxed! The house was fully equipped with all of our cooking needs. It was so quiet and cozy, we would definitely return!

We had a really great and relaxing time during our stay. Would definitely recommend this cute and cozy house for a weekend getaway. The only things we would change is some upgrades to pots & pans and heat in the bedroom.

Quiet Hideaway, highly recommended!!
The little cabin was very clean. I requested no strong smells due to allergies and there was none. My husband is a large tall man and had a little challenge in the small shower. A slide bar for the shower head/wand would have alleviated that. Pricing was affordable. There was a kayak and a canoe for our use, they also had life vests. The entire neighborhood was quiet, the lake was quiet. Was a perfect 4 day stay for a getaway!

Fishing Vacation
This property is great because if you are a fisherman there are many ponds to fish. Quiet and gated community which makes it safe to walk and hike in the woods. We really enjoyed being in the water with the canoe and kayak. I would recommend this place for a fun fishing experience.

We will be back!
We are seniors and have been married 47 yrs. Our 3 & 4 yr old grandsons stayed with us 1 night of the 7. Everything we needed was here. We thoroughly enjoyed the canoe. Fishing was great. Very cozy cottage! Enjoyed just sitting on the dock and the deck. My grandsons asked if we could come back here on the next trip.

Wood Count Lake house
All as advertised. Quiet, secluded, clean with extras. Canada goose pair on the pond and coyotes howling at night. Short drive to Winnsboro to a Brookshire’s if you forgot anything. Wish we would have stayed longer.

Great place for relaxing 😌
I staying here with my mom and my puppy. It was perfect place to rest and enjoying nature energy. Property was just perfect enough to staying and safe. We loved so much at here. Just as advertised
My family and fur babies had the best time. Was exactly as advertised. Very quiet and peaceful. Great place to unplug. Communication with Meagan was great, she responded immediately with all my questions. The cabin was clean and enjoyed that the cabin kitchen and bathroom was fully stocked with all our needs. Everything was as expected. We recommend if you want to disconnect from the everyday hustle and bustle check this place out. Hope to be back soon!

Peaceful retreat
Cabin was exactly what we wanted. East Texas, private lake, beautiful trees, quiet. It was just two hours from our home in DFW. Enjoyed a little fishing and driving around the countryside. Owner was quick to respond during rental process. Directions and property details were good. If you stay here, drive into Winnsboro for breakfast at The Haven cafe, yummy food, friendly staff. We had a great couple of days here.

Relaxing Retreat
We had a great stay at this cabin. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and this place was just what we were looking for. Quiet, great view and cozy. The water outback is clear but we were disappointed when we couldn't see any fish which made our fishing time dull but this is no fault of the homeowner. Restaurant choices in the area are limited but we brought food to make in the cabin which the kitchen is stocked with the necessities to cook meals.

Beautiful cabin with a beautiful view
My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. I think the only one who enjoyed the stay more than us was our dog. The only thing I personally would recommended is to bring your own food to cook. All restaurants are pretty far from the location but honestly we didn’t mind staying. It was very comforting and there was always something to do. Minor concerns: The kitchen drawers would tend to fall out of place and the power did go out during rain.

The location was great. The cabin was a bit dated and disappointing. Things were older than I thought. It was mostly clean, but not as clean as I'd prefer, especially the carpets.

Quiet, relaxing place to stay
Very quiet, wooded neighborhood. On a dead-end road so no traffic. Sloped property with very little open or level ground. Small, pleasant lake and I did witness fish being caught. Small, older house that is not in the best of shape, but it was very clean and pleasant to stay. Very soft, good master bed and pillows. Fiber internet. Great place to get away from everything for a few days.

Peaceful and Quiet getaway
Had a daddy and daughter weekend getaway with my buddy and this place was perfect. Quiet and peaceful. The house was what we expected. Cozy, just the right size for four person and our fur ball. The small lake was full of fish. Did a lot of fishing and Kayaking. The host Ajai is very communicative with direction and checkin. Would definitely stay here again. Just one issue with cleaning. We got there and the grill was not clean ( get a gas grill) and many bugs was in the house when we got there in bedroom. I know we are in the woods but maybe ask the cleaners to clean more. Overall no major complaints.

Giant beautiful Oak trees plus beautiful lake
We were so happy. The cabin was surrounded by giant Oak trees. Sitting on the deck looking up at them is awesome, and we were looking at a private pier on a beautiful lake. We saw lots of waterfowl and just enjoyed it all. One note though. When my dog and I went to the end of our driveway to get the trash cans we were aggressively approached by 2 pit bull dogs. A white one; and a black one. I was able to separate them from my dog; but the black pit aggressively approached me. I just walked off. When I returned the trash can to the end of the driveway I did not see them. If this had been my wife I would have shot both dogs. These aggressive dogs are running loose. Other than that we loved our stay. Hopefully we will see y’all again.
