Converted Granary, Rural Farm Retreat

A beautiful stone barn conversion of a former Granary in a courtyard setting, log fires and private hot tub, luxury leather sofas, set in a valley off the beaten track, in a secluded rural location, on a farm in the heart of the Devon countryside.

Parking for 3 cars. Beautiful walking and cycling locally or venture to Dartmoor and other local scenic spots closeby. The Granary is set within a courtyard which is shared with the owners who live in the adjoining property. The farm is still a working farm, however your privacy is no problem.

Fabulous and spacious open plan layout on the ground floor, with separate TV/lounge area with log burner, luxury leather sofas, and vaulted dining area also with log burner, a comprehensively equipped kitchen with Rangemaster electric/induction hob range cooker.

 On the first floor, there are two spacious double bedrooms, (one of which has a zip and link bed and can be configured as a twin or a superking, the other a king size), cot /toddler bed, large bathroom with separate bath and shower.

Outside in the courtyard is a seating area, BBQ for summer and private hot tub, free wifi. Just a short drive from the nearby village of Winkleigh with pubs, shops and cafe, Dartmoor is only a 20 minute drive, or venture further out and reach the coastlines of North Devon and North Cornwall in just under an hour.

Property & hot tub was amazing! Couldn’t fault the facilities at the Granary! The down side was the single track road for a couple of miles was full of pot holes, grass growing in the centre scrapping the underneath of your car. It wasn’t enjoyable and you wouldn’t want to do it more than once a day, which spoilt the enjoyment of the weekend. Too rural for us with that type of track to the property, which is a shame as the Granary was outstanding ******

The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could need, lots of blankets, DVDs and books if you required them. The area was so quiet as it was very remote which we liked. Nothing in walking distance and Fiona let us know that in advance so that we could bring enough supplies for our trip

Peace, quiet & tranquility! If you are looking for a place to recharge and un-wind then look no further, it is no more than 1.5 hrs from either North or South Devon coast or pop over in to Cornwall. Lie in the hot-tube and watch the stars with almost no light polution. The hosts are most welcoming. We cannot wait to head back. One final word of warning you will want to move there.
