"This was the coolest hotel I have ever stayed in. And such an incredibly charming owner, Brendan, who made our stay even better. He took care of EVERY detail of this gorgeous place - from a detailed book of everything to do in the area to an incredible bathroom that included a rain shower that I just didn't want to leave in the morning. I can't say enough great things about this hotel! Truly a masterpiece! We can't wait to come back!"

"The Herwood Inn offered an excellent stay… So much cute detail and design throughout the property. Great location walkable to the all of the shopping and restaurants ‘in town’. Adam was a wonderful, friendly, considerate host. Can’t wait to go back! "

It was a marvel in many ways, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience with only a few minor flaws: rain shower didn’t work, the grounds where the hot tub is located could be landscaped to provide a beautiful and serene resting spot and there could be more of a staff presence to report "

"Twice a year, I get out into the mountains with a group of friends. We've booked many places over the years, and this was probably our favorite. Both the indoor and outdoor kitchens were incredible. The massive, outdoor fireplace was a great hangout spot. The foliage views from the deck were nearly as good as from the summits. "I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and its owner, Greg. Communication from start to finish was seamless. We were a family of 14 adults and four children (6, 2, and 2 infants). The location is private, and the backdrop is nature at its finest. The stables were a big hit with the children, who would venture there several times each day to check on the horses and cows. The home layout is perfect for large groups as everyone has their own space without rooms being above...

"Unfortunately, the bar and food area was closed when we arrived which was a bit shocking around 5pm. We weren’t informed about the complimentary breakfast so we missed out on that. Aside from that the room was clean, staff was friendly and accomodating, the property is beautiful and well kept. The bed was very comfortable. "
