High Borrans Dell is a 1 bedroom self catering holiday lodge at High Borrans Farm near Windermere. Situated on a working hill farm just a 10 minute drive from Windermere, High Borrans perfectly combines the peace and tranquillity of the countryside whilst maintaining easy access to local lakes attractions and amenities. Dell itself is one of the three original lodges at High Borrans that was designed to be cosy and snug with a traditional log cabin feel. The ochre colour scheme throughout the lodge enhances the natural warm glow of sunlight that trickles through the windows, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

The fully equipped, centrally heated lodge will sleep 2 guests and is perfect for couples. It enjoys a quiet and peaceful rural location yet is only a 10 minute drive to Windermere and the many Central Lakes attractions. A delightful holiday lodge in an idyllic setting. The lodge welcomes up to 2 well behaved, medium sized dogs.

Strictly no children or infants are permitted at High Borrans.
High Borrans is a working farm so dogs must be kept under strict control at all times.
Secure wifi is available in the lodge
Mobile phone signal is very patchy in the surrounding area.
There is a free to use onsite laundry room in the small stone building at the entrance to the lodge park. This includes 2 washing machines, tumble dyer, iron and ironing board. There is also additional shared freezer storage space (plus some spare dog towels in case of need).
Arrival is from 4pm. Departure by 10am.

Perfect lodge, very clean and comfortable
Enjoyed a long weekend here and found the lodge was perfect, it was so cosy and comfortable to return to after somewhat wet walks. Great to stay somewhere so clean and we will definitely be returning.

A perfect weekend

Last minute short break
We had some days off and decided to go away for a couple of days. My friend recommended High Borans and luckily we were able to get in. Lovely accommodation in a beautiful part of the world. Lodge very clean and comfortable. Our dog loved it too. Highly recommended and will definitely come again.

Wonderful
This is our 4th year running and the place never disappoints. The location, the lodge, the peace and quiet and this time the weather has been fantastic. Even if you dont get the weather this place is beautiful. So much tranquilty. The lodge is well equipped and homely.

High Borrans
We had a most comfortable and peaceful stay at High Borrans. The accommodation is excellent and clearly very well cared for. The setting for the lodges and Shepherds Hut is very secluded and peaceful yet only 3 or 4 mins from the main road into Windermere and Staveley. We would highly recommend High Borrans to anyone. We will definitely return at some stage.

Amazing stay,extremely helpful hosts,beautiful location cant wait to return
Our lodge was absolutely perfect. It was cosy, spotlessly clean, modern and had everything we needed. The lodge is in a great location just a short drive to the town and the surroundings of the lodge are beautiful. Unfortunately, we were caught up in the unexpected heavy snow on the second day of our stay. We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Bertie. If it wasn't for him being kind enough to come and pick us up from the town where our car was stuck, we would have been spending the night in our car with our dog. We were also allowed to stay longer after our checkout time due to the snow affecting our ability to travel. We were asked if we had enough food and were offered shopping, as was everyone else who was staying in the lodges. We were then driven by Bertie back to our van to travel home. Thank you so much for doing everything you could to make us comfortable and safe. We cannot wait to return to the cabin for another stay!

Wanted for nothing xx
We loved our stay at Dell, High Borrans and there was nothing negative to say about the lodge. The sitting/dining area was perfect, the kitchen so well equipped and we loved the bedroom with the dressing area and bathroom off, plus the two cupboards in the hall - which if it had rained, would be perfect for drying coats etc. The balcony with tables and chairs was well used (even if the sun didn't shine - it was still warm) and was ideal to let our dog, Flora, roam as it was gated. We would not hesitate to return or to recommend High Borrans for anyone who wanted a comfortable stay.

Loved it
This was our 2nd stay at High Borrans and we will no doubt be back in the future. Lodges are spotless and have everything you need for a week away. There isn’t a huge amount close by although there are a couple of walks on the doorstep but it’s really perfect to get away from it all and not too far from Ambleside and Windermere in the car! Just what we needed.

Extremely comfortable, clean and enjoyable
We had a wonderful week here. The place was exceptionally clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed. The Lodges were very spaciously spread out and with beautiful landscape all around. We would definitely visit again!
