So disappointed!
The property clearly is not overseen by caring owners. We had several conversations and texts with "Claire" and "Katrina," none of which immediately served our needs or concerns. Following is a list of complaints:
1.) No information about final check-in was sent to us 1 - 2 days prior as promised.
2.) Our calls and texts were not returned in a responsive or prompt manner.
3.) NO INFORMATION was left in the flat with instructions for turning on the TV, the washer-dryer, or the gas stove top. (In fact, the ignition for the stove did not work at all, and we had to request the owner' help. She eventually provided a lighter to ignite the burners.)
4.) The TV was not functional the entire time we were there (6 days). Batteries in the remote were out. Owner came same day as gas stove lighter was supplied and claimed the TV was good to go. NOT SO! We never were able to get it to work.
5.) Photos of the property were a bit deceiving as the smaller bedroom was so small that it took careful footwork to get around the bed.
All in all, a very disappointing stay. We love the town of Winchester, and I have stayed there on extended visits over many years, but this rental was terribly disappointing. I would not recommend the property, mainly because of the lack of information provided and a very haphazard and lackadaisical attitude on the part of the "owners."
