Have you ever wanted to stay at a home on the Blanco River that seemed worlds away but was just a few minutes from downtown Wimberley? Well, La Casa Rio is that property. It's a gorgeous property with Blanco River frontage. Walk down to the river and swim or splash around. There's even a large river concrete patio where you can sunbath or just relax and listen to the calming water pass by.

La Casa Rio is a 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom home that has been thoughtfully designed and is instantly welcoming. The family room is spacious, with enough room to gather around the towering fireplace and enjoy the scenic views from one of the many picture windows. The centerpiece of this fantastic property is the magnificently updated kitchen. It is both rustic and sophisticated. And with its open floor plan, it is truly meant as a gathering place before, during, and after all the fun Wimberley has to offer. The kitchen also boasts stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a wonderful center island.

Now, where will you sleep? You have options! The first main floor bedroom offers a comfy king size bed, private access to the outdoors and an comfortable en suite bathroom. It has a unique double granite top vanity separated a garden jacuzzi tub with peek-a-boo views of the outdoors. The second main floor bedroom offers an additional king size bed, views of the outdoors and quick access to the full hall bath. Granite countertops for the vanity and a tall slate rock shower punctuate the exquisite design that is the hallmark of La Casa Rio. Upstairs is the third sleeping area. It's a large open space at the top of the stairs with a queen size bed. Three large windows artfully display the beauty of the gorgeous grounds and three large beds to ensure no one is left out of the fun.

Absolutely amazing!
What a beautiful house and property! House was fully stocked with everything we needed for 4 adults and 4 kids for 3 days. We absolutely loved the property and the house setup was perfect. I would recommend checking out Texas State’s University Camp if you have any affiliation to the university! The entrance is across the street and then a mile drive in to an awesome river experience! House was great location to Wimberley and San Marcos, and we enjoyed seeing all of the deer every morning!

Around dusk we had a variety of deer visit and peek inside the door to see what we were doing. The fireflies lit up the entire yard with blinking sparkles. No negatives! We enjoyed everything about our stay! Very good experience. The house and property are private and beautiful with good private access to the Blanco River. The house was clean and well stocked with basic supplies. Only five minute drive to Wimberley Square Would recommend to anyone looking for a large house with plenty of private bedrooms and bathrooms.

La Casa Rio is a lovely home on a lovely property. Everything was clean and well appointed. Peaceful area to gaze upon or wade in the Blanco River, and enjoy the deer and nearby cows. Close to town so you can enjoy the restaurants and shops in Wimberley. A good home base for exploring the rest of the Hill Country, San Antonio and Austin.

great property, not great management
Overall, the property was really great. Unfortunately, the house lost heat over the cold January weekend, and not much could be done to fix it. They did finally bring space heaters, but not until 11:30 pm, despite knowing about the issue most of the day. It didn't ruin our trip, but it did put a damper on things as it got really cold! I do wish next time the onus would be more on the property managing company and not on the guests.

Nice country house in fantastic location
We enjoyed the house. Modern convenience in a farm house. The rooms and bathrooms were all nice. The kitchen and dining area was a great place for our group to congregate. We all enjoyed the wildlife, the river and the beautiful hill country scenery. Wimberly was a neat town that we explored as well.

Family Get Away
My husband, our adult daughters and a boyfriend stayed at this lovely property for a nice get away. The house is stunning with everything you could ask for. Check in and out was seamless. We were greeted by a mother deer and her spotted fawn. By the end of our trip we got used to seeing multiple doe, bucks and fawn everyday. The Blanco was very low due to the drought but we still found spots with a short drive to enjoy some tubing and get in some nice cool water. We enjoyed star gazing at the night and saw numerous shooting stars, satellites, and launch from SpaceX. We all commented multiple times about how nice the house was and how perfectly ot met our needs - and not too far of a drive for any of us. We all enjoyed our time together and the wonderful accommodations just made the trip that much more pleasant. We will definitely stay there again.

Weekend girls trip
Quick girls weekend trip, we really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect getaway from Houston city life. The place was absolutely beautiful inside and out, weather was gorgeous as well. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us. The view outside of the river was breathtaking. Just couldn’t get enough of it, and so quiet and peaceful. What a dream.. , wish we could have stayed longer.

A little piece of heaven
This property is amazing. Spotlessly clean, so much room, fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful view of the river. We had many deer come through the property early in the morning and again at dusk. When we come back to the hill country we will definitely book this fantastic property again.
