If you are looking for privacy then this is the place for you. House rests on a peninsula with private entrance. This is southern comfort at its finest. Sit and relax on the oversize pier. Perhaps take in a view of the lake from the hot tub. Maybe spend the day exploring the lake by kayak. Come and see what a true southern porch looks like from our porch swing. Even bring a boat and spend the day fishing to get away from the days news. Must be 24 years old to rent.

Beautiful home. Very peaceful area on lake. Kitchen has all you should need. We enjoyed the hot tub and the porch swing! The boat dock has a radio and speakers and plenty of chairs for relaxing while doing some fishing!

We really enjoyed our long weekend get away at this home. The house is very clean, cozy and decorated perfectly for the type of house it is. The owner has been very gracious. The outside is very nice as the home sits on a beautiful view of the lake. We would go back for sure!

Family Vacation
Met our needs perfectly for a long weekend on the lake with the kids. Our first encounter was a turtle in the driveway leading up to the house. Kids spent the rest of their vacation bouncing back and forth between the lake and the hot tub.

This lake house was perfect for our stay. Very clean and comfortable. We were in for a highschool bass fishing tournament. The hot tub was a nice added bonus on these February evenings. The driveway was a little tricky to navigate with a boat. We would stay here again on a return trip to Lay Lake.

Perfect place to Relax!!
We stayed at this beautiful lake house with our three kids and loved every minute of it!! As soon as we walked into the house we noticed how clean everything was, and how fresh it smelled!! My kids were so excited about the big bedrooms upstairs, and the master downstairs was perfect too!! We brought tubes and floated in the lake! The kids swam, used the kayaks and jumped off the dock a million times! We also all enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and enjoying the gorgeous lake view!! The house was equipped with everything we needed. During our stay we visited Majestic Caverns, the Blue Bell Ice Cream Creamery and Cheaha State Park. Our favorite thing was just hanging out at the house and enjoying the lake!! I would highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a place to relax and spend quality time with loved ones!!

Beautiful home and helpful hosts
A lovely lake house, well-kept with MOST of the amenities needed BUT NOT ALL. Hosts very very helpful and accommodating EXCEPT when it came to an empty gas canister for the bbq (we were told we had to buy one for our 1-2 nights of bb). When already spending a lot, I expect this to be a part of the offer, especially when it is listed on the posting. This was very disappointing. Finally, this rental is not for international travelers. There is no wifi and therefore if you depend on wifi for travel planning, this house is not fir you. Otherwise, lovely experience.

Beautiful house Disappointing water location and conditions.
House was beautiful but very sparsely supplied. Outside porches dirty with lots of spider webs, dead bugs. Plants hanging on porch were more brown and dead than alive. It was not specified in description that only way to enter water is off end of dock in deep water. There is break wall and shoreline is all weeds. Unable to wade not suitable for small children. Next to swamp in cove area where current seems to wash all garbage up right in front of house. Unable to even sit on dock due to spider webs and bird crap covering everything. Deeply disappointed. Google address you will see actual location and it's on a river not a lake.

Perfect for a mini Vaca
f you arrive at night, I forewarn you.... it was a little creepy, and Google maps gave the wrong directions and said to turn left....into the lake😳....kind of like that episode of The Office. (Instead of taking a right onto Heron Cove, take a left onto Loon drive. The road sign is there, but I guess Google didn't know that lol). It's definitely a little off the beaten path, but much needed for a mini vaca. There's no wifi at the house, but we had service with Verizon, and you can set up your phone as a hot spot if necessary. There is DirecTV to watch TV. Upon entry into the house, I was greeted with a nice, clean scent (and not the "overly clean, trying to cover up something, strong scent of chemicals" that some places have) but a fresh one 🙂. The house is beautiful with just the right amount of decor for a rustic yet modern lake house vibe. The kids each picked their bedroom upstairs and found some board games and puzzles in one of the closets. (And of course they watched some TV too). The couches in the living room are plush and comfy, and I was super excited about the cute Rae Dunn coffee mugs in the kitchen!! The hot tub overlooking the lake is the perfect way to relax or you could grab a book and sit on the porch swing. If games are more you style, gather round the table for some cards, dominoes, or whatever suits your fancy. I wish we would've brought our corn hole boards to play. (There's a nice flat area by the lake that would be perfect.)The lake view is gorgeous and we used part of one day for a mini photoshoot out on the dock. At night, we sat around the fire pit and had smores. There are kayaks for your use, but the day we planned to go out on the lake there was a threat of severe weather. The owner Mike was very attentive and stayed in touch to let us know what to expect. I would recommend Pizza and Pints for dinner in Sylacauga. The service was great and so was the food. One of the local attractions we visited was DeSoto Caverns. The kids had fun and the cavern tour was really cool. We also visited Beeswax Park which is only a couple miles from the house. We took a walk on the trail that surrounds the lake. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this lake house.

Perfect Lake House
A long weekend to do some fishing and relaxing. Me, my wife, two 17 year olds and two 13 year olds. Rented a boat from Paradise Point and kept it at the house. Kids enjoyed the hot tub, did some kayaking, and we built a fire each night. The house was very clean, beds were great, and it had everything we needed in the kitchen.

Wonderful stay!
The house is lovely, easy to get to but it feels very secluded. The large back porch was perfect for hanging out, watching the lake, birds (blue herons, egrets), boats, sunrise. The living room had more than enough comfortable seating for all of us, and the kitchen was very well-equiped (including multiple machines for making coffee!). The hosts were so helpful, replying quickly to a couple of questions (before and after we got there). We'd happily stay here again!

Most peaceful get away I ever had. Every aspect of this get away was above expectations from the comfortable lodgings to the serene location. Spent every day kayaking, lounging on beautiful back deck and/or dock watching lake activity or chilling out by campfire at night near the water. Mike, our host was accommodating and always responded promptly to inquiries. Thankful to him and his wife for sharing their little peace of heaven with us.

Talladega retreat
Stayed at the property and attended races at Talladega Motor Speedway. Very nice property, well kept, and many amenities. The Lay Lake is beautiful, especially at sunrise. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!
