The Palm House *Walk Downtown

The Palm is the expansive main floor of a wonderful old Victorian home that was duplexed long ago and has evolved throughout the years. You’ll have private access to the first floor with your own entrance. We love this place for its high ceilings, vintage decor, original hardwood floors, and quiet red brick road neighborhood! With queen-size comfy beds, a cozy living room with a smart TV, and an eat-in kitchen area with all the essentials, you may want to stay longer!

If you're looking for new and perfect, this is not it—it’s a cool old house in a unique location. The Palm is an early 1900s Victorian home in a quaint, historic neighborhood, just a pleasant walk from restaurants, bars, breweries, entertainment, museums, historic walking tours, and the riverfront. Parking is free, easy, and ample on the street in front of the house.

Note: The neighbor upstairs has two dogs, and you may occasionally hear them walking around at night or early in the morning. If you're a light sleeper, please keep this in mind.

Guests will have access to the entire lower-level floor and a private entrance. We are here if you need us, invisible if you don’t. Check-in anytime with the keypad lock and start relaxing! We’ll likely check in with you via text to ensure everything’s great. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume you’re happy!

Located on a quaint brick road, The Palm is within walking distance to downtown and the river walk. This is a very old house—please treat it with respect. If historic charm and unique turn-of-the-century eccentricities aren't your thing, you may want to consider more modern accommodations.

The stay was great! We loved the house and were able to relax and enjoy the whole home. We would absolutely come back and stay in the Palm again. It was perfect for our trip and stay.

A Very Nice House

We were entirely satisfied with our stay at the Palm House. It is spacious and well laid out with the interesting quirks common to old houses. We appreciated that it was within easy walking distance of museums, restaurants, and the riverwalk while not being too far from the rest of Wilmington and the beaches. It had been well cleaned, had responsive hosts, and ample linens and kitchenware.Would stay again!

On the Road to Bald Head

No worries about making the ferry at South Port if one stays here In Wilmington. This is a comfortable, well-furnished home in walking distance to the river-side attractions. Parking,WiFi and thoughtful touches make one look forward to a return visit.

Nice older place in good shape, lots of character. Walking distance to the river and a bunch of different bars and restaurants. They made check in easy and stress free, and didn't have a bunch of unrealistic expectations.

Good location and price

The location was nice and close to downtown river area. The house was comfortable for the number of people we had in our group. Does seem like there is a little maintenance that has been deferred for a little too long. The age of the house gives it some amazing character a d charming feel. Thank you for the use of your place.

Beautiful property

I have zero complaints about the property. The only thing I would suggest is letting people know it is right in the middle of the flight path for the airport. The ear plugs were a nice touch.

Delightful stay

The property was exactly as described, clean and spacious with a lovely front porch which we used mornings and nights. One thing you do not see in the photos is that the 3 bedrooms are separated so you are not on top of each other and feel like you have privacy. Location to downtown Wilmington was a few blocks away so we walked everywhere which was a plus. Highly recommend this property. 😁

So perfect

Our stay at the Palm House could not have been better. The house is so cute, so much character. The 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths suited our needs so well. The house is set up for comfort. The kitchen is well equipped. We were so relaxed our entire stay. It is very walkable to downtown. We walked to the convention center, great restaurants, and museums. I highly recommend this fantastic property!

Welcoming and comfortable

Quaint and spacious property with just the right amenities for our group. A few small items need attention, such as batteries in remotes, but those are easily fixable. Beds were extremely comfortable, and sheets and towels are top quality. A newer sofa in the living room would be an excellent upgrade. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again!

Quick trip to Wilmington

We had a great time staying at this property. It’s walkable to downtown and in a great overall location. Curt was super quick to respond to any questions we had and we could not have asked for a better host. Our concert ended up being rescheduled the day before our stay. We came and enjoyed downtown Wilmington anyway. If this house is available whenever our concert is rescheduled we will definitely book here again!
