"We loved the house, and the proximity to town and Mount Snow is great. The manager/owner was also fantastic! This would be a five-star review except for a few things (and really I’d give it 3.5 stars if it was an option): it was a very neat place but so dusty under furniture and beds- every one of us suffered from the moment we entered the house until the moment we left. "We had 9 people in 2 family units staying at house. Then about another 6 that came each night to hang out. Plenty of room. 3 living room areas for everyone to spread out. Best stocked home EVER!!! There was literally everything and anything that we needed…..and then some. Inside sauna so cool. Unfortunately way too cold to go out and enjoy the hot tub. Decorations beyond beautiful. Owner very quick with communication. Highly recommend staying here. "

"Our trip this past weekend to Chalet O'Bear was just what we wanted! Booking and communication with the property manager was seamless. Any issues we had were addressed immediately and taken care of. We loved the location of the property and made our stay at Stratton perfect! We will be looking to book again! "

"The house was great for our family of 5 and our dog. Located so close to Mt. Snow, it was an easy drive, clean and had anything we needed to cook and relax. The hosts are very communicative!"

"Just got back from three nights at this wonderful property with a group of 50-somethings to compete in a gravel bike race. This property was ideally located near our start line, very very clean, plenty of room for us, basically as advertised. Would definitely rent here again in the future given all of the above.."

"Our 2024 Christmas gift to our family was a ski weekend at Stratton Mountain. This property was perfect for us. Nestled in a wooded lot, it slept 10, kept us warm and cosy even in single digit temps. We would definitely recommend this property."

"House is great, we had a large group. 2 living rooms, one with tv one without was a nice separation. To give some details on the layout, the bunk bed rm and twin room are off the living room on the main level, all other bd rooms are on the second floor. From the parking area to the main front door there are 31 steps.... not sure that was stated anywhere but hopefully everyone reads this review. I will stay here again if my group size demands it, it's close to mt snow, pretty secluded overall...

"Overall, a very good stay. The house is a bit smaller than we thought, but it was very clean and well stocked. The indoor fireplace and provided wood was a nice perk. The hot tub was not clean or well kept, so beware of that. There were body hairs and a brown scum ring around the edge."

"We enjoyed skylight lodge. We get together with family and friends each year to do an annual fundraising event. The house was perfect for our group. The big fireplace was a great way to relax after a day of skiing or snowshoeing. "

"Relaxing VT stay . You are in a rural setting but places to stock up on supplies was less then 10 miniutes away . We watched the fireworks that stratton displayed pretty much from the comfort of the property .Our children are young adults and they had a blast finding local swimholes . As well as spending a day at Bromley Mountain ( 20 mins away ) where they did water slides , alpine slides , the giant swing to name a few . House is large and the ability to accomodate large families or groups ....

The amount we paid was more than double the advertised price, yet we were still asked to perform a laundry list of cleaning tasks before exiting the unit (vacuuming, folding blankets, emptying and taking out gargage, etc.). I realize there is likely a management fee, but most VRBO properties do not require anything more than making sure doors and windows are secure, sink is clear, thermostats set at certain temps, etc. The property is also in...

"Location was close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough to be nice and quiet. Our room was nice but the “fire place” was pitiful. A nice gas flame would have been better. Breakfast was delicious. More choices would have been great. The cook was more congenial than the owners. Owners were pretty reclusive. The advertisement stated the property had daily housekeeping. This is one reason we chose The Nutmeg. There was NO daily housekeeping service, and that was very disappointing. We would have loved coming back to our room finding it serviced and tidied up. If The Nutmeg does not offer that, they need to change their description."
