"Clean and very nice employees. But why no table lamps? You either have bright overhead light in room or nothing. Neither phone or tv remote worked properly. Requested a couple additional pillows as they were really flat kind. Could only find one to give us. We come this direction several times a year when cruising out of Galveston. It was very clean but probably will not stay here again"

"One can tell someone did a lot of work on the hotel, but major issues remain! Cockroaches in the room, the smoke detector hanging by its wires, the sink falling out of its counter, the toilet rocking, a roll of toilet paper with only enough on it for one use and no spare, gunk on the wall by the bed, the TV difficult to see cause it is somehow being converted to an analog signal before being distributed, tiny towels that one can barely dry oneself with it. "This was an interesting property. The house’s architecture was a bit quirky, but it grew on us over time. We would have appreciated it if the backyard was maintained a bit better, we had to dig out the leaf blower and cleaned some of it ourselves and there was a broken lounge chair on the loft terrace. "This was a truly outstanding experience!! I have travelled for work for about 34 years and have grown very tired of the same old hotels. Your hotel was a great surprise from the minute I pulled up. It was very well kept, private and quiet. The decor in the hotel were great. All of the front desk clerks I dealt with were truly professional. The pool and porch area were beautiful and a great place to relax both in the morning and at night after work. The bartender (white gentlemen with longer hair) ran all over the place serving the bar and the dining area and did an OUTSTANDING job!! He was the icing on the cake that made the visit a truly great one!! The rooms were very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the chair by the bed was actually comfortable for me to get my work done with the portable table. Most hotels have mediocre furniture at best that comes across as more decoration and for actual use. This was a great stay and I really appreciate it!!"
