It was close and convenient to our vacation destination. The breakfast area was cramped and the area was not staffed if something was depleted or to answer questions. When a container (milk in my example) was empty, one had to go look for someone to replenish. On the second day of stay, I had to go get our entry cards updated as we were locked out of our room. Room furnishings are dated!

This is an older motel, but has all the benefits. The breakfast was wonderful. Our room was clean and the receptionist was very personable. It has a convenient location across the street from a Mexican restaurant and the Ark Encounter, as well as convenient to drive to. The main street to Williamstown is a short drive with more eateries and shops. I lost my wallet in our room at checkout and the receptionist found and returned it.

Unexpectedly clean. Just a little outdated, but nice and clean. Breakfast: waffles, muffins, cereal, fruit, boiled eggs, juice, milk, coffee, etc. No hot food but just enough to start your day.

I purchased a room with a king bed. When I arrived they gave me a room with 2 queens. They told me that was all they had. When I started calling Expedia they found a king room they had just forgotten about. The breakfast was a joke.

There were no grab bars in the bathtub. The breakfast had a good selection of foods, especially proteins like eggs, peanut butter and yogurt. I assumed all bathrooms were required to have grab bars and my friend has some limitations. We got a shower chair from the office, set it up so she could hang onto the door knob to get in and out of the tub safely. Even I, without any limitations, want grab bars in the bath tub for simple safety reasons.

The woman at the front desk was extremely nice. The hotel is clean and the beds are descent, it is just old and needs renovations. I knew the breakfast was a continental, but it was better than I had anticipated. There were no hot options, but there were waffles, instant oatmeal, toast, granola bars, yogurt, and cereal. Enough to hold you over. It was a good place to stay for a short stay.

Everything was great, but the room was filthy. The beds were nasty. The floor was terrible. You had to keep your shoes on if not, your feet were black. There was hair in the bed when we turned down the blankets the room was just awful. It was dirty.

The location was great for the Ark Encounter which is across the street. However, the property is run down. Our room the first night smelled horribly of stale cigarette smoke and we killed 3 bugs. The two chairs in the room were very dirty. We asked for a different room for our second night, and the owners were very accommodating - they are very nice people and I don't like giving them this less than stellar review. The second room smelled much better and was bug free.The bathrooms have been upgraded with new tub surrounds and counters. Fun fact in our second room, they replaced the toilet with an elongated version which made it impossible to shut the bathroom door as it couldn't clear the toilet. Not sure that even at $130 a night and its location that I would stay there again.
