"We have wanted to get up to the Pine Creek Valley to bicycle thru the PA Grand Canyon gorge. The cabin was perfect with the bike trail on one side of the property and river on the other. It turned out to be a little chilly to be on the trail everyday but the days we got in were perfect. "

"We really enjoyed this place. Love the all wood interior and wide open natural setting. It is super cozy. Perfect for a couple. We made use of the fire pit on the chilly nights and took a stroll by the pond. It's 15 minutes from AOAA which is why we were in the area. We'll be back I'm sure!"

"I planned on spending my birthday in happy valley and searched all over for a place, then I found Lakewood cottage. I talked it over with the other couple that came with and it was an easy yes for the 4 of us. The place wasn’t far from the stadium and easy to get to. It was clean and tidy and overall an amazing stay for the weekend. We would definitely stay here again."

"Great property, great stay at a very nice cottage. We visited for the weekend for Penn State’s homecoming. Close to the stadium, easy access to I-99 and plenty of food options w/in 3 miles. Two bedrooms w/king size beds and a couch w/a trundle. Very comfortable w/TV, patio, firepit, and charcoal grill. The worse part of the weekend was the non-stop rain on game day."

It was only about 20 minutes from Cherry Springs State Park, but on a clear night, you also had a beautiful view of the night sky from the property. The house itself was lovely and clean, and it had almost everything we needed for our stay (we second the suggestion for adding a tea kettle). "The property was good. Just be mindful it is built around a single-wide. The couch was broken, but the owner was very responsive and apologized for not knowing that it was. The furnace is a little noisy and the beds are small. 150 acres is open for hunting so just be aware. Other than that, its a nice getaway."
