"We really enjoyed this place. Love the all wood interior and wide open natural setting. It is super cozy. Perfect for a couple. We made use of the fire pit on the chilly nights and took a stroll by the pond. It's 15 minutes from AOAA which is why we were in the area. We'll be back I'm sure!"

"The property itself is beautiful; however, 2 days into our month long stay, the area was hit with the remnants of a hurricane ( rain and strong winds). This caused water intrusion along one entire side of the cabin and portions of the roof. We left on the third day. Our host was gracious and worked with us and VRBO to refund our money. "

"I planned on spending my birthday in happy valley and searched all over for a place, then I found Lakewood cottage. I talked it over with the other couple that came with and it was an easy yes for the 4 of us. The place wasn’t far from the stadium and easy to get to. It was clean and tidy and overall an amazing stay for the weekend. We would definitely stay here again."

"Great property, great stay at a very nice cottage. We visited for the weekend for Penn State’s homecoming. Close to the stadium, easy access to I-99 and plenty of food options w/in 3 miles. Two bedrooms w/king size beds and a couch w/a trundle. Very comfortable w/TV, patio, firepit, and charcoal grill. The worse part of the weekend was the non-stop rain on game day."

"I rented this location for our summer vacation as part of a Christmas present for my astronomy-loving son. It was only about 20 minutes from Cherry Springs State Park, but on a clear night, you also had a beautiful view of the night sky from the property. The house itself was lovely and clean, and it had almost everything we needed for our stay (we second the suggestion for adding a tea kettle). The only negative, which wasn't a true negative for most of our party, was that it really wan't...
