We rented this house for our family to stay in while visiting the grand canyon. The house looks nice with a log cabin design. The other reviews mention the psositives of the house. So in this review, I will mention a few of the downsides of our stay so that people can be better informed when booking.
1. There was a dead mouse in the garage when we arrived, and when we informed the property manager, they just said "it happens" and did not offer to come and dispose of it. We avoided the garage for the rest of our stay. (We also found a small dead roach in one of the beds on our last day there).
2. The showers never got warm enough, which made for a terrible showering experience. Imagine getting into the shower and having to shower in barely lukewarm water, and being worried that even that will run out any minute.
3. For some reason, the price they charged us was 2.3x higher than what their normal weekend rates are. (An average 3-day stay at this house with a weekend is $1200, but we paid $2650). The host said they use dynamic pricing. So if you're planning to book, be aware of this and check to see if the rate you're getting is double or triple the normal rate.
On the plus side, the fireplace was nice to have and our family really liked using it.
